Our Jamkittens are 4 weeks old today!

They’re VERY BUSY (much to mums shagrin). They spend more of their day running, wrestling and playing with toys than sleeping now, and have started to eat wet food in addition to nursing. Their next milestone will be learning to use the litterbox 🥰

As we head into –30°C and colder temperatures this week, we need to send out an urgent reminder: no cat can safely survive outside in this weather. If you see a cat outdoors—friendly, scared, or unsure—please help. Their life genuinely depends on it.

If you’re able to bring the cat inside, here’s how to keep everyone safe:

• Separate the cat from your own pets by placing them in a spare room, bathroom, or heated garage. Offer a blanket, food, water, and a litter tray. Wash your hands after handling them. (In a pinch, a cardboard tray from the liquor store & some sand from the gas station make an A-OK litterbox!)

• Post a photo of the cat on local lost pets pages, and have the cat scanned for a microchip at any vet clinic as soon as possible —it’s quick, free, and may reunite them with a worried family.

• If you cannot safely catch or bring the cat indoors, please contact a rescue. Many can provide you with an insulated shelter to keep the cat warm while further help is arranged.

Rescue volunteers can’t do this alone. Together, we can make sure no cat is left to suffer in the cold.

If you see something, please do something.

With Milo in his foster to adopt home, Styx is our very last store kitty of 2025 waiting for a forever family, and we just don’t understand it!

This 1.5 year old house panther is as playful as he is affectionate. He’s lived with other cats previously, and has been learning how to interact with dogs during his time at the store. He would do just fine sharing his home with a social & polite cat or dog. And he loves to play with kiddos!

Styx is neutered, vaccinated and chipped, and his adoption fee is BY DONATION ONLY! Stop by Pet Valu Windermere to meet him - be prepared to fall in love!

So many of you grabbed these last time, and we’re pretty sure there’s a new furry family member or two who needs to complete the matching set! And if you haven’t snagged one yet, now’s your moment.

We’ve got both dog-bone and fish-shaped stockings available for just $25 — 15.5” long, 9” wide at the tail/bone — and personalized with your pet’s name. Orders will be ready for early December pick-up, and mailing is available for a small extra fee.

Say hello to Miranda — the first kitten from our S*x and the City litter to start the search for her forever home… and she’s doing it in style with those stunning emerald green eyes!

Our baby bobcat look-alike isn’t just a pretty face. She’s the perfect blend of affectionate, playful and confident. Miranda adores other cats and would like to have a feline friend (or two!) to keep her company in her new home. She’s wonderful with kiddos too!

As for dogs — we’re not sure yet, but this brave little lady would likely adjust well to a cat-social, calm pup in the home with proper, slow introductions.

Her $150 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccines, and microchip. Don’t miss your chance to bring home this beautiful girl just in time for the holidays. 🎄

12 week-old Fernando is feeling the Christmas spirit, and can’t wait to be in - we mean on… okay, we definitely mean under your tree this holiday season!

Fernando is bursting with energy, personality, and plenty of stories to tell. He’ll thrive in a home with a kitty friend and even some kiddos to chase around. He loves to play, but he’s also incredibly sweet and affectionate. When he’s ready to recharge his batteries, you’ll find him curled up right on his foster mom’s lap. we’re unsure of his dog experience so far, but he’s so young, we’re confident he could get used to sharing his home with a cat social, friendly dog.

This handsome boy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to find his forever family for Christmas for $150. He must be adopted to a home where he’ll have a kitty friend, or with one of his foster friends (like his pal ginger floof Felicia!)

We can’t believe that we haven’t received a single application for most sweet and handsome Styx 🥺

✨ After Black Friday and Cyber Monday comes the best day of all… Giving Tuesday! ✨

And even more exciting, Mama Annie’s babies are officially 3 weeks old today! They’re starting to wobble out of their tent, practice their tiny wrestling moves, and discover that noisy toys like crinkly foil balls are absolutely fascinating.

But as cute as they are, caring for a family this size isn’t small potatoes! Their vet care alone (not even counting Mama Annie’s prenatal care, x-rays, and everything before birth) will be over $2000 — and that’s not including day-to-day essentials. Mama Annie herself is powering through 6+ cans of wet food a day… motherhood is hard work!

Hi humans… I’m Milo.

I’m really grateful for all the help I’ve been given, but…
I wish I wasn’t here. I’m almost 7 years old now, and a boy like me should be settled into his forever home — curled up on a warm couch, not waiting day after day for someone to notice me.

My last family couldn’t keep me, and the shelter took really good care of me, but no one was coming to give me my second chance. So here I am — part of the FMN family now, hoping you might be the humans I’ve been dreaming about.

I can be a little shy when we first meet, but once I know I’m safe I warm up so fast. Bring some tube treats (I adore Churus!) and I’ll show you my sweetest self. When I feel comfortable, I’m a curious, gentle boy who just wants love, the best companion you could ask for.

I’m good with other nice kitties, and older kiddos are okay too — loud noises and tiny humans can be a bit scary for me. Some dogs can be overwhelming, but with slow, careful introductions to a calm, cat-friendly pup, I can learn to be brave.

I’m neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped and got a clean bill of health from the vet today — I’m all ready to go home, and my adoption fee is by donation only.

**Adopted!!** 4 month old cutie Rudy is waiting for her forever home at !

Rudy is as sweet as she is social. When you’re busy at home she’ll be right at your side, curiously watching your every move. But as soon as you stop moving - watch out! Lap kitty incoming!

Rudy does great with kiddos and other cats, and would love a home with some furry friends to play with, and maybe some 2 legged siblings to play with wand toys all day long! She’s curious about dogs, and learning lots about them at the store.

About Us

Furget Me Not is a non-profit, volunteer driven rescue organization serving Edmonton and the surrounding area. We are dedicated to giving cats and kittens from area pounds, where they are at high risk of euthanasia due to overpopulation, a chance for the rest of their lives to be the best of their lives.

We place cats in loving and nurturing foster homes while they wait for their perfect furever family. Through our network of supporters and volunteers, we are able to maximize the use of every dollar donated by keeping our administrative costs low, and by providing medical care in home when possible. All our cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption.

Our goal is to place our animals in loving and responsible homes, where they will thrive and be loving companions. We will continue to be a helpful resource after the adoption process is complete, and encourage our adopters to stay in touch and share their progress and success stories.
