It’s been such a busy day for the rescue humans that we almost missed it! We hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Halloween!

Our resident ginger couldn’t pass up the opportunity to step into the late, great Grandpa Garth’s shoes and don a Halloween costume this year. And of course, it wouldn’t be Halloween without revisiting some of Garthie’s best looks over the years. ❤️

Scam alert! It appears our inbox has been targeted by a scam that’s been going around some of our rescue contacts. If you received the following email from us, please just delete. We have updated our passwords and signed everybody out our email who shouldn’t be there 😬 TGIF 🤦🏻‍♀️ (PS - it takes a special kind of pathetic scammer to target rescues!)

**Adoption pending** Beautiful 1.5-year-old orange tabby joined us from our friends at Enoch Animal Services, and we’re already totally in love with her!

Female orange tabbies are a little less common, and Shea is an all around special girl. She’s very petite, incredibly friendly, affectionate, and has the best little purr motor.

Shea has such a lovely, easygoing personality, and we really think she’d settle into just about any environment. She’s a social little lady who just loves attention, and any family would be lucky to have her!

She’s spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home for an adoption fee of just $125.

Our first snowfall seems like the perfect time to share a little holiday fun!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 21st! We’re excited to be taking part in Willow’s Pawliday Fair at The Hive Creative (16819 111 Avenue NW) from 9:30 AM to 4 PM.

We’ll have some Furget Me Not humans there all day, and some of our adorable adoptable kittens will be joining us from 10 AM to 2 PM!

There will be tons of fantastic local vendors offering everything from handmade gifts and baked goods to jewelry, pet accessories, and so much more.

And if you’ve ever wanted a Christmas photo with the Grinch, here’s your chance! Photos with our special green guest will be available for a minimum $20 donation, with proceeds supporting the kitties here at FMN, as well as the awesome folks at Paws for Life Animal Rescue.

It’s a great opportunity to get a head start on your Christmas shopping, support some wonderful local businesses, and of course sneak in a few kitten cuddles while you’re at it!

**Placement secured!** This 5-month-old brother and sister duo looking for a safe place to call home!

These beautiful kittens have made it very clear that people aren’t really their thing. While they may not be cut out to be house cats, we know there’s a perfect home out there for them.

They’re looking for a heated barn, shop or outbuilding where they can settle in together, have a job to do and be safe and cared for.

We’re looking for a space where they can be comfortably confined for a minimum of one month while they adjust to their new surroundings, but ideally until spring before being given the freedom to explore. Their new home must be heated, with daily access to food and fresh water that won’t freeze.

Both are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and there is no adoption fee! We’re also happy to deliver them within a reasonable driving distance of Edmonton.

They may not want to curl up on your lap, but they deserve the same chance at a happy, safe and loved life as every other kitty.

If you have a little room in your barn or shop for two young mousers, please reach out! And if you don’t, sharing this post might just help us find their perfect home ❤️

This poor guy has been through a lot, being abandoned by your family is no small thing. While he must be sad and confused, you would never know it! He’s incredibly affectionate, loves pets and cuddles, telling you stories about his day. And catnip. He really, really loves catnip.

Casper would do just fine in a family with gentle kiddos and doesn’t mind the company of other cats. While dogs aren’t his favourite 4-legged creatures, he could definitely share his home with a calm, cat-friendly pup.

He’s neutered, vaccinated and chipped, and waiting for his happily ever after at Pet Valu Stony Plain. Better yet, he has a special adoption fee of just $75!

**Adopted** Sir Chilton at your service! I’m so handsome, I know, I can’t help it. I’m also a very good and friendly boy too!

Not much is known about me, I was brought to the wonderful people at Enoch Animal Control with another kitty found nearby. I’m about 2 years old according to the vet, and after getting the full VIP treatment at the vet clinic, I’m officially ready for my next and best chapter.

The humans aren’t sure about my past experience with other animals, but I didn’t mind the kitty I came in with, so I’m pretty sure with slow, patient introductions I could share my home with a friendly cat, or cat social dog. I’d be good with gentle kiddos too!

Does everyone remember our sweet little Bitsy, the 6-legged kitty who stole hearts all across Canada?

Well, our special girl is making headlines again, but this time she’s in a book!!

Bitsy is one of the amazing cats featured in The Cat Did It: Tails of Marvellous Canadian Cats by Nancy Silcox.

It’s a collection of stories about some pretty incredible Canadian cats, and we’re so happy that Bitsy’s story is one of them! From our frightened little 6-legged girl who needed a triple amputation surgery, to now having her very own place in a book. How special is that!

And even better, Furget Me Not will be receiving a portion of the proceeds from book sales, which will go right back into helping more kitties in need.

Sylvester is an incredibly sweet, social and affectionate boy who absolutely loves being around people. He’s a pretty chill, low-energy guy, but loves following you around, checking out what you’re doing and being part of the action. He’s just as happy spending the afternoon watching birds out the window or curled up beside you keeping you company.

While he’d love to be king of his own castle, Sylvester has lived with other cats previously and would be happiest in a home with older kiddos or adults only.

He’s in great health for his age, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and would make an absolutely wonderful companion!
