We have been/are still moving and it’s been a wild ride!

We are both grateful and exhausted.

Looking forward to sharing content at the new home where the pups will have sooooo much more freedom to run free and remain safe while doing so ♥️

Some moments feel bigger than you expected 🤍

Howard — our sweet Howie — has officially gone home to his incredible new mama, Kal. Watching her share him with so much joy already has meant the world to us. He is so clearly adored.

This goodbye carried a little extra weight.

Howie was the final puppy to leave from Sophie’s last litter. The last baby from a girl who has given us so much. Closing her chapter as a mama is emotional — but seeing her son step into such a loving home makes it feel exactly right.

Kal, thank you for loving him so openly already. We can’t wait to watch him grow.

Go be everything you’re meant to be, sweet boy. 🤍🐾

Some goodbyes are extra sweet 🤍

Picasso has officially headed home to D, E, and their beautiful family in Calgary — and we couldn’t have handpicked a more perfect match for him.

He is incredibly handsome, full of personality, and already so loved. Watching our puppies step into homes where they’ll be cherished beyond words is the greatest reward of what we do.

We can’t wait to watch him grow — you can follow his journey at 🐾

From safe haven to forever home 💚

Rufus’ story is a special one. He came to us in June from a woman bravely leaving a difficult situation, who needed to know he’d be safe while she found her family a safe place too. For the last couple of months, Rufus has been part of our pack — soaking up love, care, and the comfort of a stable home.

On August 19th, Rufus began his new chapter with his person, Eric. Together they’ve been living life to the fullest — from paddle boarding and hiking to couch naps with the best snores. On the road as a long-haul companion or at home on their mountain acreage, Rufus is truly living his best life. 🐾

We couldn’t be happier for this sweet boy and so grateful to have been part of his journey. 💚

From our hearts to theirs! — Theo (formerly Joe) has started a whole new chapter across the country in Barrie, Ontario! ✈️💚

He flew into the arms of his beautiful new family — Jessica, Peter, and their daughters Roxanne and Olivia — where he’s now a deeply adored Velcro dog. His new fur sister, Deborah, is adjusting to sharing the spotlight and slowly warming up to her new partner in crime. 🐶💞

We miss his gentle, soulful presence around here, but knowing he’s safe, doted on, and already stealing hearts makes our own hearts feel full.

From Chip to Fred, and straight to forever 🐾👑

On July 3, our sweet boy Fred left Green Haven and stepped into the arms of his incredible new family — and let us tell you, he’s already living a five-star life. From lakeside strolls and boating adventures to being chauffeured like royalty in a pup-sized stroller, Fred’s got it made 💼🚤

We’re so grateful to his new humans for giving him such a beautiful beginning. It means everything to know he’s adored, supported, and thriving — and that even though he has a new last name, he’ll always be part of the GHB family. 💚

Happy tails, Fred. You’ll always be our baby dog.

Gotcha Day Vibes 💌🐾

Saturday was a big day for little Archie — he’s officially off on his next adventure with his new dad, Daryl! 💚

Watching them meet and fall for each other in real time was something special. It’s moments like this that make the early mornings, the puppy mush, and the mountain of laundry so, so worth it.

Daryl, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for trusting Green Haven Bulldogs. We don’t take that lightly. We’re so happy Archie is going home with someone who sees how incredible he is — and who will love him for all the days to come.

Wherever our pups go, they always carry a piece of us with them… and they’ll always have a piece of home here. Welcome to the GHB family, Daryl & Archie. 🏡❤️

Why Green Haven Bulldogs?

Tonight - for the haven (a place of safety or refuge).

Sometimes you get a call for help - for a boy who needs a safe place and there is no other safe spaces available.

Meet RUFUS - Olde English Bulldog. Yesterday evening we got a call - his human was in an emergency situation and their life was changing fast. Rufus was at risk and she was at a total loss of how to get him somewhere safe while still doing the same for herself.

Our long term goal has always been to use breeding as a leaping point and financial support to create a bulldog rescue facility. Tonight we hit two goals we are PASSIONATE about - LOVE and HEALTH/SAFETY of this incredible, silly and adorable boy.

We never want to see an animal suffering and tho we weren’t expecting or fully prepared for it - tonight Rufus is staying here at GHB.

He has a warm, clean, safe space for just himself and we can worry about testing demeanor, temperament and socialization tomorrow. After that - finding him a permanent place.

And just for tonight, we are grateful for the opportunity to given ‘haven’ to a big man who needed one.
