From our hearts to theirs! — Theo (formerly Joe) has started a whole new chapter across the country in Barrie, Ontario! ✈️💚

He flew into the arms of his beautiful new family — Jessica, Peter, and their daughters Roxanne and Olivia — where he’s now a deeply adored Velcro dog. His new fur sister, Deborah, is adjusting to sharing the spotlight and slowly warming up to her new partner in crime. 🐶💞

We miss his gentle, soulful presence around here, but knowing he’s safe, doted on, and already stealing hearts makes our own hearts feel full.

From our home to yours, Theo — you’ll always be a GHB boy. 💌

From Chip to Fred, and straight to forever 🐾👑

On July 3, our sweet boy Fred left Green Haven and stepped into the arms of his incredible new family — and let us tell you, he’s already living a five-star life. From lakeside strolls and boating adventures to being chauffeured like royalty in a pup-sized stroller, Fred’s got it made 💼🚤

We’re so grateful to his new humans for giving him such a beautiful beginning. It means everything to know he’s adored, supported, and thriving — and that even though he has a new last name, he’ll always be part of the GHB family. 💚

Happy tails, Fred. You’ll always be our baby dog.

Gotcha Day Vibes 💌🐾

Saturday was a big day for little Archie — he’s officially off on his next adventure with his new dad, Daryl! 💚

Watching them meet and fall for each other in real time was something special. It’s moments like this that make the early mornings, the puppy mush, and the mountain of laundry so, so worth it.

Daryl, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for trusting Green Haven Bulldogs. We don’t take that lightly. We’re so happy Archie is going home with someone who sees how incredible he is — and who will love him for all the days to come.

Wherever our pups go, they always carry a piece of us with them… and they’ll always have a piece of home here. Welcome to the GHB family, Daryl & Archie. 🏡❤️

Why Green Haven Bulldogs?

Tonight - for the haven (a place of safety or refuge).

Sometimes you get a call for help - for a boy who needs a safe place and there is no other safe spaces available.

Meet RUFUS - Olde English Bulldog. Yesterday evening we got a call - his human was in an emergency situation and their life was changing fast. Rufus was at risk and she was at a total loss of how to get him somewhere safe while still doing the same for herself.

Our long term goal has always been to use breeding as a leaping point and financial support to create a bulldog rescue facility. Tonight we hit two goals we are PASSIONATE about - LOVE and HEALTH/SAFETY of this incredible, silly and adorable boy.

We never want to see an animal suffering and tho we weren’t expecting or fully prepared for it - tonight Rufus is staying here at GHB.

He has a warm, clean, safe space for just himself and we can worry about testing demeanor, temperament and socialization tomorrow. After that - finding him a permanent place.

And just for tonight, we are grateful for the opportunity to given ‘haven’ to a big man who needed one.

Welcome to the world, Chip & Potato!

Our sweet Sophie delivered two beautiful baby boys — a dreamy chocolate tri and a spotted blue merle — and we’re already head over heels.

Chip (our blue merle heartbreaker)
Potato (our rich chocolate cuddle bug)

Sophie is doing amazing and already rocking mama life. We’re so proud of her — and beyond grateful for these tiny treasures.

From Bambam to Mufasa — The Evolution of a King 👑

We are thankful for the incredible lines behind this pairing, and we’re grateful to have produced and raised Mufasa and his littermates here in our home with love and intention.

Born from our girl Ginny (Zyphera) and Valentino, both originally from Westdog Bulls, this boy is a perfect example of what thoughtful pairings and hands-on care can create.

We’re so proud of how he’s developing and excited to see where his journey leads.

He’ll always be Bambam to us — one of the special ones from the very start.

Big Changes for Big Paws!

When we moved this past fall from the city onto an acreage we threw up a quick dog run before the snow hit. We knew it was temporary… but our bulldogs figured out just how temporary when snow drifts gave them the perfect boost to launch right over the fence.

This weekend, with the ground finally thawing and spring around the corner, we got to work. Down came the old pen, and up went a brand new, much bigger, more secure run built with heavy-duty construction panels.

Now the dogs are safe, have more space, and we can relax knowing they’ve got the freedom to play without pulling any Houdini moves.

Bulldog Wrinkle Care: Keep Those Folds Fresh! 🐶✨

One of the best things about English Bulldogs? All those adorable wrinkles! 😍 But with great wrinkles comes great responsibility—those cute folds can trap dirt, moisture, and bacteria, leading to irritation or infections if not properly cared for.

✨ Wrinkle & Nose Fold Care Tips ✨

✅ Check Daily – Gently separate the folds and look for redness, moisture buildup, or an unusual smell.
✅ Wipe Regularly – Use a soft cloth, baby wipe (fragrance-free), or a vet-approved wrinkle cleaner to gently clean between the folds.
✅ Keep Them Dry – Moisture = bacteria growth! After cleaning, pat the area dry with a soft towel.
✅ Use a Protective Balm – A little coconut oil or a vet-recommended balm can help keep wrinkles soft and prevent irritation.
✅ Watch for Signs of Infection – Redness, swelling, or a strong odor could mean a skin infection—if you notice this, consult your vet!

Frenchie Ears 101: Bat Ears & Best Care Tips 🐰👂

One of the most iconic features of a French Bulldog? Those adorable bat ears! 🦇 Unlike floppy-eared breeds, Frenchies have open, upright ears that give them their signature look—but also make them more prone to dirt, wax buildup, and infections.

✨ How to Keep Those Ears Clean & Healthy ✨

✅ Check Weekly – Look inside for dirt, redness, or a bad smell (a sign of infection).
✅ Clean as Needed – Use a vet-approved ear cleaner and a soft cotton pad to gently wipe away wax or debris. (No Q-tips—they push wax deeper!)
✅ Keep Them Dry – Moisture can lead to yeast and bacteria. After baths or swimming, make sure their ears are fully dry.
✅ Watch for Allergies – If your pup is shaking their head or scratching a lot, allergies could be the cause.
✅ Don’t Over-Clean – A little wax is normal! Over-cleaning can strip natural defenses and cause irritation.
