Many young dogs or social dogs who haven't had much practice around other dogs can come in pretty hot and cause trouble at dog parks. Appropriate social skills are needed in order for dogs to coexist with other strange dogs in public off leash spaces. Skills like reading other dogs body language, taking breaks during play, polite greetings, listening to other dogs cues and the ability to regulate emotions around other dogs are all learned behaviors!
