Did you know that there are over 600 different horse breeds? Due to extensive selective breeding over the past few centuries, there are over 600 horse breeds in the world today. According to a 2017 genetic study, all modern horses descent from two ancient horses breeds: the Arabian and Turkoman horses. While the Arabian horse still exists today, the Turkoman horse that is similar in appearance to the Akhal-Teke is now extinct.

Did you know that human Ischium bones (the pointy ones on your bum) remain relatively the same distance apart no matter if you’re very small or very large, or any size in between? Cool. But wait, hear me out cause there’s more! The separation of a horses longissimus dorsi (the muscles on either side of the spine) from left to right are almost the exact same measurement as our ischium. This means that humans and horses fit together almost like puzzle pieces would, eliminating what would be very uncomfortable spine to bum bone! (So long as you are balanced of course 😊) Isn’t the universe amazing?!

“My horse is lazy!” … well maybe, but maybe not! Sure some horses prefer a leisurely pace, but in some cases this may be due to tight muscles, a misalignment, or even an energy imbalance (root chakra 🤔). I like to incorporate all of these treatments *and aromatherapy too* in all my sessions. We can have a healthy mind, but if the body is not in alignment we won’t find balance, and we can have a healthy body but if we are struggling mentally, it’s hard to maintain physical conditioning. Everything in ✨balance ✨

Having an ill horse can be so difficult, it’s hard when you want so badly to comfort them, but our loving energy can do so much good! Surrounding ourselves and our loved ones, be it pet or person in loving, white, healing light. Can do so much. They can receive this energy from great distances. The power of universal energy is unbelievable. And we could all use and give more loving energy in this world, especially now. 🖤

While I do not usually work in pj’s and crocks 😂 My old boy was feeling a little stiff this morning. James loves his stretches. And Joei says “stretch me next mom!”
Stretches can be so beneficial, just like how it feels good to stretch in the morning, or how it’s important for us to stretch after workouts, the same goes for our equine partners! 🐴 ☀️
