Our Story

Gentle touch Grooming Where The Loving comes First! Just like most groomers, Cheryl loved dogs and all animals since childhood. It was a Dream of hers to be able to work and have a career working with dogs. Within a couple of months of graduating from The Canadian School of Dog Grooming, Cheryl found a job as a Dog Groomer and worked in Etobicoke with a Certified Master Groomer that continued to teach Cheryl while giving her the experience she needed over many years to open her First Grooming Salon in Oakville. Oakville is Cheryl’s hometown and she wanted to give it a New Grooming Salon that was a bit different. Old school ways with modern equipment and very much an eye for detail. Cheryl not only hand dried her dogs, she did all hand Scissor styling as well. A few years later, the businesswoman in Cheryl decided to buy out a Salon on the other side of town. Bringing the owner with her and one other staff member. Then Cheryl moved out of her location on a main road, to a small plaza bringing the 2 shops and staff all together into a Brand New Salon in the center of Oakville making it accessible to most of Town. After many years and busy as ever with 4 staff members, Cheryl was injured in an MVA and had to slow down on how much she was working. After a couple of years and not really getting any better, Cheryl decided she would sell her Salon of almost 28 years, to one of her groomers. So as of October 1st, 2011, The business Cheryl started from the ground up was no longer hers. Several years earlier, Cheryl had moved her home to Lowbanks. At The North Shore of Lake Erie. Just 15 minutes outside of Dunnville. After a couple of months not grooming Cheryl longed to groom dogs again. (Other than her own). So "Cuddles And Clips" was Born!! Cheryl Opened Cuddles and Clips with a friend and showed the town of Dunnville a side of grooming that was different than they may have been used to. Cuddles And Clips soon became the talk of the town, literally. They held an Open House Fundraiser for “Back The Cat” and raised $500 for the hospital in Dunnville. As life changed, Cheryl's friend moved on and Cheryl continued but moved to a brand new salon in her home. Cheryl and her husband Billy continue “”Cheryl’s Dream!””!!
