Meet Rio 💙

This handsome boy is around 5 months old and so full of love. He had a bit of a rough start to life and now lives with a wonderful woman, her existing dog and cat. He is in the most loving home he could ever be in.

I have been working with Rio for a few weeks now, and our main focus has been confidence building. He loves women, but men are still scary so we are focusing on being around men that will give him positive and loving experiences.

He walks well on leash, he knows sit, he knows his new name and he no longer gets sick in the car.

We will continue to work on down, leave it, and being around fast moving things such as kids and cars.

Catch us at the ball field all season long!

I figured it was time to end my Facebook hiatus! Lots has happened over here at Pawsitive Results, it has been non stop!

On top of that, I’d like to introduce the newest member to the PR Family, Phoebe!

Phoebe is nearly 15 weeks old and she is loving all the dogs that come into our home (for the most part). Raisin has quickly become her best friend!

Retuning back to working with clients next Tuesday 🥳 I will be starting out slow as I am still recovering from surgery, but I cannot wait to see you all!

These two little doods both went home at the end of June, but had a solid week of board and train with me.

Pedro & Obi are both Van Isle Doodles from the ABC Litter. I was so thrilled to have both of them at the same time.

Our main focuses were leash work, crate training, alone time, sit and recall. We also really pushed on socialization.

Both babies left as social butterflies full of love!

I currently have their sister, Kira, and our focuses are the exact same.

I couldn’t love these babies more than I already do ❤️

Finn is my little show off pup. He LOVES to be in front of the camera and always poses in the cutest ways possible.

One thing I have a lot of clients struggle with is their dog’s obedience in different environments.

Just because your dog can sit nicely inside, where there are no distractions, does not mean they can sit nicely outside on the grass. Textures, noises, scents, etc all play a huge part in stimulation. We want to practice training everywhere to ensure our dogs are successful and can behave in a desired way anywhere we go.

Finn was able to sit perfectly in this tire swing. Try getting your dog to sit in a number of places. Tree stumps are one of my favourites.

I couldn’t have said it better myself.

We don’t like every person we meet, the same goes for dogs.

Stop trying to force play and socialization. It’s natural for them to be selective about their friends like we are.

Juniper and Elskan are both with me for a one week board and train! ❤️ these two Van Isle Doodle cuties were born on December 23 and December 24th, but they are NOT siblings.

Our main focuses are crate training, house training, desensitization to sounds, walking on leash, sit and the beginning of “leave it”. We are also going to work on bite inhibition and not jumping up on people to say hello as well as confidence building. It’s safe to say we have a jam packed week!!!!

Had a great session with Molly and her sister Lexi today!

Lexi and Molly are from the Give Thanks litter over at Van Isle Doodles ❤️

Lexi‘s mom has never owned a dog before so it’s a huge learning curve, but Lexi is so intelligent she is making the training easy.

In one hour, we had sit with both verbal and hand commands established, we worked on leash tension recognition and short distance recall.

I can’t wait to continue to watch her and her human progress over time. It’s such a pleasure working with them.
