Good Morning!
Anyone out there looking for some temporary stablehand work??

We are looking for someone to step in and help us out for the last couple of weeks in March. Job would include feeding, blanketing, turn in/out, mucking stalls, general cleaning around the barn inside and outside.

We are located NW of Calgary, near Madden.

We are looking to fill a temporary full time position starting immediately. There is a chance that this could turn into a long term situation depending on circumstances at the barn.

Schedule is 6 days on 3 days off, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. Some weekends and holiday work will be required. Mucking stalls, turn in/out, feeding, blanketing, cleaning pens, general maintenance and cleaning around the facility.

Stable Hand Needed-

We are sadly losing a valued member of our team as she is returning to Ontario for family reasons. This position needs to be filled immediately as she was unable to give us much notice.

We are located NW of Calgary near Madden.

This is a full time position, 6 days on 3 days off, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm rotational schedule. Ideally we are looking for someone who would like to live onsite in a shared accommodation situation. Some weekend and holiday work will be required.
*** Please note that this Christmas is already covered so whoever comes on board would not be required to work during this holiday time ***

Duties include but are not limited to: feeding, blanketing, turn in/out, mucking stalls, cleaning paddocks and general cleaning and maintenance around the facility (indoors & outdoors)

If you are a reliable, mature, hardworking, detail oriented individual who is enthusiastic about working with horses please get in touch with us! You must have previous experience handling horses including studs and youngsters, if you have worked in a boarding facility before, even better!
You must be able to work as part of a team but also be able to work independently and unsupervised when required.

Applicants must be over 18 with a valid drivers license. The job requires that you be physically fit and able to lift 50-60 lbs.

Onsite shared accommodations are available for the right candidate. Wages and details regarding the living situation will be discussed with qualified candidates.

Attention Haul In Riders:

Please be advised that PMR will be closed temporarily to all outside horses effective immediately due to a reported case of EHV-1 in Red Deer County.

This step is precautionary, our priority is the welfare and safety of all of the horses on the property and in our care. We will continue to monitor the situation and updates will be shared as needed.

Attention Haul In Riders:

The arena will be closing at 8:00 pm tonight and will be closed over the weekend for the Reining Alberta Hubert Heule Reining Clinic.

Regular haul in hours will resume next week, please contact us directly for available ride times.

PMR is looking for a full time stable hand. We are sadly losing a valued staff member as she is heading back to Olds College next month. Position will be available mid February.

We are located NW of Calgary near Madden.

The position is a 6 days on 3 days off schedule, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. Some weekend and holiday work is required.

Job duties include but are not limited to: Mucking stalls, feeding, blanketing, turn in/out, cleaning turnouts and general cleaning inside and outside the barn.

Looking for a mature, reliable, self starter that can work as part of a team or independently. Horse experience required - ideally previous experience working in a boarding facility. You must be physically fit to perform this job. Must have your own reliable transportation, with a valid license, and be over 18 yrs. Please note there is no riding involved in the position.

Sadly we are losing one of our valued employees as she heads back to college so we are now starting our search for a full time stable hand to start mid July.

Feeding, blanketing, turn in/out, mucking stalls, general barn duties etc. Must have experience handling horses, including studs. Looking for someone with a strong work ethic that is reliable and has the ability to work independently or as part of a team, prior experience working in a barn is a bonus. A good sense of humour wouldn't hurt either 😁

The schedule is 6 days on 3 days off, some weekends and holidays. 7:30 am - 4:30 pm

Attention: Haul In Riders

The arena will be temporarily closed to outside horses effective today. We have a horse showing signs of illness, therefore we must be proactive and cautious in allowing outside horses onto the property. We will update when we are ready to welcome haul ins once again.
