🚨 Parvovirus Alert in Our Community 🚨

Recently, several puppies in our community have tested positive for Parvovirus. Cases continue to emerge across the region, putting unvaccinated and young dogs at high risk.

Parvovirus is a highly contagious and deadly virus that spreads through contact with infected dogs, contaminated surfaces, and even human shoes or clothing. It attacks the gastrointestinal system, causing severe vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, and often requires intensive veterinary care.

💉 How to Protect Your Dog:
✔️ Ensure your dog is fully vaccinated—puppies need a series of vaccines, and adult dogs require regular boosters.
✔️ Avoid dog parks, daycare, or high-traffic areas if your dog is unvaccinated or overdue for vaccines.
✔️ Practice strict hygiene—wash hands and change clothes if exposed to unknown dogs or environments.
✔️ Contact your vet immediately if your dog shows symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, or loss of appetite.

Parvo can become life threatening if left untreated and vaccination is the best defense. Please share this message to help protect our community’s pets. Stay safe! 🐶❤️

I have been seeing many posts and stories about this outbreak come across my feeds this morning. Here is some information about Parvo.

If your dog is exhibiting any signs of illness please do not bring them to classes. If you feel there is a chance that your dog may have been in contact with the virus please do not bring them to classes. Check to make sure your dog is up to date with the Parvo vaccine by checking with your vet clinic or getting a titre test done.

We have a little girl celebrating her first birthday today. Happy 1st Birthday! Gemma!!!. I'm sorry not all your friends were able to be here today, but you always know how to have fun no matter who comes to play. . I think your motto is "game on" everyday lol. I love that about you. And... all your friends enjoyed the treats that you brought for them today to help you celebrate. I could only get a few dogs to sit and stay for your pictures...sorry..haha.

Today is a little girl's special day... Meisha is turning double digits. Happy 10th Birthday Meisha. Lola's (Meisha's best bud) Mom's came and sang Happy Birthday to her and sent special doggie treats for all the pups. She has been coming to Paws for Adventures for 9yrs, and has a special place here with our family.

Another really hard post to write. Jaxson crossed the rainbow bridge suddenly on Sunday night. He was a true boxer, and absolutely knew how to play with his friends, it could be rolling on his back with feet in the air, or standing on his hind feet boxing, he always gave 110% while playing. He was just as lovable ...as he was playful. My heart is so broken. He was only 4.5 yrs old , another pup gone way before his time. He had so much more love to give.

He and Vinnie are up there together again. They loved spending time hanging out together, I can just see them up there boxing together again..

RIP Jaxson boy. You will be missed around here.
