Back from two weeks of van life in Iceland 🚐🌋

I’ve gone through all the messages since getting back — so if you reached out, you should have a reply. Orders will all be packed up and either shipped or ready for pickup by the end of the week.

If I missed your note or a specific question, just send me a quick message again. Thanks so much for your patience while I was away 🫶🏼

There’s been a lot of new faces around here lately, so I figured it’s time for a little intro 👋

I’m Sophie—the person behind Penny & Co. I pack your orders, manage social, prep for markets, design new gear, and respond to every message and email myself. I’m also a full-time CPA and a certified canine behaviourist, so I keep pretty busy—but dogs are always at the center of it all.

Penny, my English Setter, is the reason this all exists. She's the one who taught me what adventure really means, but it didn’t take long to realize the gear we had couldn’t keep up. So I started creating it myself—gear that could handle our kind of life.

Now I share that life with Penny, Oliver (my Vizsla) and Fezco (my Belgian Malinois). They’re each a full-time job on their own, and we don’t really do rest days—training, sports, and exploring are part of every single day, no excuses.

The best part of all this? Getting to meet you—whether it’s at markets, online, or through training. I love helping people deepen their relationship with their dogs, because once you get there, there’s nothing like it.

Thanks for being here 🤍
(Also: yes, I’d hike 24/7 if I could and yes, I’m always dreaming of van life in Iceland 🏔)

We’re excited to reveal three of them in this post — and a fourth in our stories : Anchor, Paint Marble, Night Sky and Flowers.

All four are available in ¾" and 1", except for the anchor print who is only available in 1".

Biothane is built to handle the mess — rain, mud, salt, snow. It’s tough, but it still deserves a little care.

Giving your gear a quick rinse after a muddy hike or salty beach walk helps it last longer — and work the way it’s supposed to. Over time, salt and dirt can wear down the surface, and if grit gets into the buckles, they can get harder to use.

A simple rinse, a little soap when it’s needed, and a check on the buckle if it feels gritty — small things that help a lot.

Your gear keeps up with your dog and a quick clean keeps it going strong 💪🏼

First Shediac Market of the season → this Sunday 🙌🏼

We’re kicking off our third summer at the Shediac Market this weekend, and we’re bringing a full setup with us.

Collars in all styles, colors, and widths — including UV print, braided hunting, and double-layer designs. A wide selection of leashes and a few extras you’ll only find at the booth.

It’s our favourite market of the year and we can’t wait to see you (and your dogs) this Sunday!

A closer look at the finish.

We seal the ends of every collar with two layers of Bioseal — a small step that makes a real difference.
It gives a smoother, cleaner finish and adds an extra layer of protection against wear, water, and weather.

We put a lot of attention into the details you might not notice at first — because they’re often the ones that matter most over time.

We’ll be at the Ian Fowler Market tomorrow at the Avenir Centre in Moncton, from 10 AM to 2 PM ✨

We’ll have a full range of collars with us — including 1.5” widths, neutral tones, and brighter colours — as well as info on custom options if you're after something more specific.

If you’ve been wanting to see the materials in person, compare sizes, or just talk through what might work best for your dog, we’ll be there. Come say hi — we’re always happy to help!

Since a few of you wanted to know more about our BioThane options, here’s a side-by-side look at standard and super heavy.

We’ve used super heavy from the start, but standard is slowly making its way into our line where a lighter touch is needed.

Super heavy is thicker, more structured, and feels great in-hand—which is why a lot of people prefer it. The added thickness also gives it more resistance to wear over time, making it a great fit for bigger dogs or anyone who puts their gear through the wringer.

Standard is lighter, more flexible, and perfect for smaller dogs or when you want something softer and easier to handle. It also works beautifully for braided collars, where a bit of movement makes all the difference.

Both have the same break strength—the difference is in the thickness, structure, and feel.

Curious which one might be right for your dog? We’re always happy to help you choose 🙌🏼

We’ve got our next market date locked in—and it’s a brand new one for us!

You’ll find us at the Ian Fowler Night Market in Moncton on Saturday, June 7 from 4 PM to 9 PM. ✨ It’s our first time at this event and we’re really looking forward to the evening vibe, live music, local makers, and hopefully meeting some new faces (and dogs 🐶).

We’ll be bringing all the good stuff—UV printed biothane collars, braided leashes and a few special one-offs you won’t find online. If you've been thinking of checking us out in person, this is a great one to come to.

📍 Ian Fowler Oval, Downtown Moncton
🗓 Saturday, June 7
⏰ 4 PM – 9 PM

Come hang out, grab a bite, and say hi—we’d love to see you there!
