This beautiful black-and-tan girl has soulful eyes, an adorable tongue-out smile, and a heart as big as her paws! Found as a stray wandering with no ID, Ellie hasn't let her past dampen her sweet, loving spirit in the slightest! Ellie is 4 years old and she's the epitome of a perfect and easygoing companion who's totally content to spend the day napping by your feet. 🐶💤

Ellie is ALL about the simple pleasures in life: sunny naps, leisurely walks, cozy beds, and spending time with her favourite people. She's affectionate, loyal, and famous for giving the best doggy hugs in Didsbury! She'll wrap her big paws around you for a cuddle whenever she gets the chance and when she does you'll have no choice but to fall in love. 🥰

As a large breed dog, Ellie would love a home with someone who understands big dogs and can help her continue to grow with confidence. Ellie truly believes she's a lap dog despite her size! Howard is a tiny 8-week-old silver tabby with white markings and a sweet, snuggly personality. This little guy loves curling up for naps, soaking up affection, and staying close to his people. Despite his small size, Howard has a BIG heart and is quickly learning that the world is full of love and new adventures! 🐈‍💕

Howard is currently enjoying the good life in foster care while he recovers from conjunctivitis! Howard is looking for a forever home where he can continue to grow, play, and thrive. As many of you know, donations like this one from Pet Planet Dickson Crossing not only helps the stray and abandoned pets we care for everyday at WRHS but it also allows us to keep our Pet Food Bank fully stocked for our community! Our pet food bank helps us to give back to our community by providing essentials to pet-owners that are struggling to feed and care for their animals alone. Sterling is a handsome grey gentleman with a playful (and slightly silly) side! Sterling is a friendly, talkative 2.5-year-old kitty with a soft, sleek coat and a calm, thoughtful presence. At first glance, Sterling comes across as a quiet, observant cat who enjoys taking in the world at his own pace but don’t let that fool you! This boy has a (not so) secret weakness... 😅

😸 Have you heard the mews?! 😸

After nearly 400 days with us at WRHS...Our friend, Zorro has FINALLY found his purrfect match!! To celebrate, we wanted to share some of our favourite memories with Zorro from the year he spent with us! From the times he camped out on top of clean laundry, to the time he tried to sneak himself some special GI food, and the many, many, MANY play sessions! One thing is for certain, this little kitty is one of a kind. 🐈‍⬛💕

Zorro has come a very long way since we met him back in March of 2025, once an uncertain and cautious cat, Zorro has blossomed into a talkative, confident, and playful little man. We're so delighted to say Zorro officially went to his forever home back in April and is settling in very well! 🥰

We're so excited for Zorro and we can't wait to see what adventures he finds himself on next! While we truly miss Zorro's presence, his goofy streak, his snuggles, and the way he rips around when he's got the zoomies, we know he's exactly where he belongs. We wish our dashing vigilante, Zorro and his fur-ever family nothing but the best! 🤺✨

😹 If Tigger fits...He sits! 😹

This is our friend, Tigger! He's 1.5 years old, neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and still searching for his forever home. Purrhaps you could help us out with that! We met Tigger last May when he joined us at WRHS, that means Tigger has been at our shelter for one ENTIRE YEAR! Let's not make this handsome tabby wait any longer for his forever. 💔

Tigger's heart yearns for adventure! He loves exploring his surroundings, checking out new spaces, and keeping tabs on everything going on around him. Whether he's investigating a new room, supervising your daily routine, or simply watching the world go by from a window perch, Tigger likes to stay engaged with his environment. 🤩

Tigger would make an amazing addition to any family, especially in a household without other pets. Tigger tends to thrive best by himself where he can stretch out and be able to let his guard down. Then he’ll be the sweet, silly, fiercely loyal, and slightly dramatic cat he is at his core. As we know, the MOST wonderful thing about Tiggers is that he’s the only one! 🤴✨

Tigger would do best as an indoor/outdoor cat in a safe, suitable environment where he can enjoy a bit of adventure while still having the comfort of a home base. Tigger is NOT suited to barn life! He truly enjoys human connection and wants to be part of a home, not just living independently. 💛

While we are not finalists this time, EVERY organization nominated receives a share of all donations raised through the Country For Critters fund so don't stop voting and donating! 🐾🐶
