Travis, Randy, and everyone at Huff want to thank our amazing clients for all of the amazing Christmas treats you've brought us.🍬🍭🍪🍰🍫 (This isn't even all of it!)The holidays can be a stressful time in veterinary medicine, and some sweet snacks can help lighten the mood!

🌟✨Our receptionist Laureen brought her dog Brodie in for a dental cleaning today. She was kind enough to allow Randy to practice his scaling skills! Good job Randy, those teeth are looking great!

🦷 Preventing tartar buildup is important for pets. Excess tartar can cause gingivitis, which can lead to not just pain and discomfort, but also heart disease and kidney disease. We also take full mouth x-rays on all of our dental procedures to detect any hidden issues beyond the gum line.

Brodie is happy with his pearly whites and Laureen is happy to get less stinky kisses!

📅 Keep your eye out for Brodie as "Mr. February" in our HAH Staff Pet Calendar! Pick yours up at the front desk before they're all gone!

✨🎄 Breaking news! 🎄✨
Travis and Randy the Clinic Elf have discovered our newest gadget!

We’re excited to introduce our new Therapeutic Laser! This gentle, non-invasive treatment helps reduce pain and inflammation, speeds up healing, and improves comfort for pets with arthritis, injuries, or post-surgical soreness.

Its many uses include treating:
•Arthritis and joint pain
•Ear infections
•Wounds
•Post surgical care
•Bladder and urinary tract inflammation
•Skin infections
•Burns
•Pancreatitis
•Anal glad inflammation
•IVDD..and much more!

Randy says it’s “warm and cozy.”
Travis says it’s “acceptable… as long as there are treats.” 🐾

Ask our team if laser therapy might help your pet feel their best!

Hi everyone! It’s me, Randy, your trusty shelf-dwelling clinic elf, and I just witnessed something very exciting in the treatment area…

Our old ultrasound machine, lovingly known as “Big Bertha”, has officially retired. She rolled around like a tank, beeped like a spaceship, and took up half the room. I had to hang onto my shelf every time someone tried to maneuver her around!

BUT LOOK 👀👇
We’ve upgraded to a brand new, super portable, tablet-sized ultrasound system! This little powerhouse is fast, sleek, and small enough that even I could carry it!

🐾 What does this mean for our patients?
• Easier, quicker in-house imaging
• Less equipment crowding the room
• The ability for our vets to grab the unit and scan wherever needed
• Better quality images in a fraction of the space

I’m honestly shocked no one asked me to hold the tablet during scans — but I’ll keep practicing my “helpful elf” stance just in case.

Welcome to the future of clinic diagnostics… now in fun-size! 🎉

📣 Did you know we offer outpatient ultrasounds? 🐾

We’re thrilled to partner with Dr. Lawrence Brown, a board-certified veterinary radiologist, who brings advanced imaging right to our clinic! Dr. Brown travels throughout the Greater Vancouver Area, performing ultrasounds in the comfort and familiarity of his patients’ home clinics, including ours.

🔍 Every 2 weeks, Dr. Brown visits us to provide:
• Abdominal ultrasounds
• Soft tissue ultrasounds
• Echocardiograms (heart ultrasounds)

And if your pet needs even more advanced imaging, Dr. Brown also offers CT scans at his home base in Langley.

We’re proud to make high-quality diagnostic care more accessible and less stressful for our patients. ❤️🐾

Hi friends! It’s me, Randy. I’ve been keeping an eye on all the pets (and humans!) this season, and today I spotted someone EXTRA magical… ✨

Meet W***y the Exotic Shorthair, one of the bravest little warriors I’ve ever perched beside!

A while back, W***y was diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). Now, from my high shelf vantage point, I’ve heard lots of stories… and for a very long time, FIP was something that no kitty could survive. It was always heartbreaking for the vets and staff. 💔

But guess what? Times have changed! Thanks to new antiviral medications, FIP can now be treated and W***y is one of our first official survivors! 🎉😺

I watched him come in for his treatments, get showered with love, and slowly but surely get stronger. And now? He’s healthy, handsome, and ruling his home like the tiny king he is. 👑

W***y’s story is a miracle I’m thrilled to share from my cozy holiday spot. He’s proof that hope is real, science is amazing, and cats are tougher than they look.

Proud of you, W***y! 💛🐾
