Diamond H Ranch Welcome to Diamond H Ranch (Dawson Creek BC) Paul & Heather Weir. We have a selection of performance, broodmares. We breed to a Driftwood/Sunfrost stallion.

He adds some size and mellow mind to mares with more feel, while not loosing athletic ability! Small intro about Diamond H Horses
We are Paul, Heather, Harley & Abbigail Weir. We run a cow/calf operation with my parents and have raised good ranch horses for personal use. I started riding at 3 and I think it’s safe to say, I was born with a passion for horses. Over the years I developed a love for

creating horses. Whether that be starting our breeding program or training. Our breeding program consists 8 mares currently. Each mare has a complete pedigree top and bottom. I believe that ALL mares should be proven under saddle and witnessed; they carry the disposition and soundness traits that should be passed on to the foal. A breeding mare should be a full package, disposition, conformation and pedigree. I believe the same applies for ANY breeding stallion! The very odd time exceptions to this rule may occur due to injury. From time to time, We have horses in
for training and resale purpose. This group of horses follows most of the same guidelines as above (disposition and conformation most important) they should be a full package; they may be home grown prospects or horses I have purchased with the intent to develop and sell. Well this past weekend was one for the books.

Drifter and his best friend Ollie got the call to last min join a North Cache Ranch Rodeo team. They did a great job, their jockeys need to practice lol

It's nice to be blessed with a stud that handles crowds so respectfully. Thank You Drifter.

The community of Ranch Rodeo friends and family does nothing more than fill our cups! It's always such a honor to be part.

This lil girl is everything we dreamed of when crossing Drifter on our Old studs mares. We had 2 foals this year out of Hawk daughters and neither let us down.

This filly is built to do most anything, she has color down the road to, if she earns the right to be a momma! Down the fence or on the other end of a rope, I don't think it will make difference to her. Her dam was held out of baby service for next year and will go back into saddle horse pen for a year or so.

Well it's official! Drifter is a $$$ earner.. LTE $40! Won in Western Pleasure, Western Equitation and also Trail. He would of had more but Paul Weir Beat us in 2 classes and🤪!!!

We truly had the best weekend. Saturday the big boys and Sunday the light horse. It was hot but we were pleased how everyone handled the crowd. Our little girls tried there best, learned and most importantly had fun!!!!

Kiskatnaw had a awesome turn out. So much work for all that put it on. I'd like to send a very special thanks to all those behind the scene (Tracy Short). Also,Thank You to the judges, not a easy job and HOT 🥵

Tank has been used for all aspects of Ranch work. He has doctored solo, been to brandings, gathered in the mountains and prairies. He is a solid mount for someone with experience. He is good for the farrier, with good black feet. He loads and hauls well. Had his teeth done in 2022. Tank was gelded a bit later in life, he can be higher on pecking order. Having said that he lives happy with a mix herd at our place with no issue. He does have a superficial scar on his left hip.

This fella has some sentimental connection to me. I have ridden his sire, dam and grandsire! All very willing athletic great horses. He comes from a long, long line of good ones. Every time I look at him, I have to remind myself I can only ride a few not 10 ha-ha.

He has 3 full siblings; his oldest sister is already trained under saddle is a dream. I will attach reference. This is a Ranch horse galore prospect he will put in the hard days. He is looking for a place to work!

A large percentage in the short round at the richest rodeo of the summer were palomino—𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙚 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙬𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙩𝙤 𝙎𝙪𝙣 𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙩.

Not direct sons. Not immediate crosses. Just the ripple effect of a horse who left his mark so deeply, it still shows up at the pay window across disciplines, generations later.

We sure love seeing a legacy we believe in continue to shine on the biggest stages. Sun Frost wasn’t just a stallion. He’s become a thread in the fabric of modern performance horses, and it’s pretty special to see that thread still woven into today’s winners.

This c**t comes with quiet a story, at 4 days of age he was attacked by a bear. He endured extensive damage to his right hind hip and inner thigh and smaller wounds on both sides of his back and side. He had a will to live! (He shouldn’t of) My mom (owner) recognized and went to work to heal him. He made a miraculous recovery. While he is sound, I don’t think it would be fair to expect full performance.

Twice he dodged the “knife” on my behalf, causing a substantial marital dispute. One I paid for dearly when he then brought 4 horses home including a team of Belgium’s! (He sure taught me)

I knew this c**t had a decent pedigree. I started digging and learned, the the only horse on the face of papers with no earnings (currently) is his sire. I’m confident that he will become a producer! Correction, His sire MEGA BIG does in fact have RA earnings!!
