🩸We are looking to update our blood donor list🩸

If you:
🩸 Live within 15-30 min of the clinic
🩸Are ok with your pet being sedated
🩸Have a dog that is > 30 kg or a cat > 4.5 kg
🩸1-8 yrs of age
🩸Overall good health
🩸Fairly quiet temperament
🩸Spayed or neutered
🩸Up to date on vaccinations
🩸Hasn't been vaccinated in the last month
🩸Free of internal or external parasites
🩸Not on any current medications
🩸FeLv/FIV negative (cats)

Your pet may be a good candidate 😊
We currently have no way to store the blood so blood donation would be on an emergent type basis. The sample is collected from the jugular vein after the area has been shaved and surgically prepped. They do need to lay perfectly still so your pet may receive some level of sedation.
