A cool mature whitetail from last year with a deteriorating lower jaw that would have likely made it difficult for him to survive the winter! Every skull has character.

Not your typical moose euro. We had to adjust our methods for this one to preserve the velvet but it turned out nice.

We don’t usually keep lower jaws on euros but this old bull had lots of character from a long life that was worth showcasing. Worn down molars, cracked incisor teeth, smallest bugle teeth we’ve seen (last photo is a comparison to common bugle teeth size) and a fractured zygomatic arch bone that was attempting to heal up. No doubt an old warrior and respectable harvest by a young local hunter!
