Hi everyone,

I want to thank you all for your support, friendship, and trust over the ten years I operated Red Dog. Your dogs have brought me so much joy and it’s been a pleasure working for all of you.

I’m very sad to let you know that I’m closing up shop and retiring from Red Dog altogether. I’m still dealing with an injury, and not being as young as I once was (lol), it’s taking a pretty long time to heal. My focus right now is on recovery, and unfortunately that doesn’t mesh very well with the physical requirements of Red Dog.

Thank you again for bringing all your incredible Red Dogs, past and present, into my life. They’ve brought me so much love and joy and laughter. The decade I spent in their company traipsing around the forest was a dream come true and I miss it, and them, every day!

Hi all! I’ve been quiet lately because I’ve been off managing a back injury. I struggle with being still and restful, so this has been a frustrating time! Thankfully Sidney is a pretty good role model. He definitely knows how to take it easy.

Since lots of folks have kindly asked, I just wanted to let you know that Sidney’s dental surgery went wonderfully this week. He had five teeth removed, and the ones he has left are clean and fresh. He made a quick recovery and he’s back to playing in the grass and asking for all the snacks. Not bad for an almost-fourteen year old guy!

Hey dogs of Shubie! We have something special for you on Saturday, May 27. It’s Pup Cup Day!
When your person stops by Caffè Lucca for their Saturday morning coffee, make sure they ask for a free pup cup for you.
Our dog Sidney has been working very hard on the recipe (it’s just real whipped cream with a treat on top 😉), and he can’t wait to share his creation with his Shubie friends.
We’ll be at the Fairbanks Centre lot from 9am until noon, weather permitting. See you Saturday!

Reminder that I’m off for a few days, returning to the trail on Thursday, May 25.
We were supposed to be away enjoying a few days of rest and relaxation, but somepuppy needs dental surgery, so we’ve cancelled our plans and we’re sticking close to home. He’s worth it though! 😍
