Yes!! many dogs need coats in cold, wet, or windy weather, especially small breeds, short-haired dogs, puppies, seniors, and those with health issues like arthritis, but thick-coated breeds like Huskies usually don't; always consider your specific dog's breed, size, age, health, and the conditions. If you're cold enough to wear a coat, your dog likely needs one too, but watch for signs of shivering or reluctance to go out, which indicate they're uncomfortable.

We are bursting with dogs of all ages, breeds, ability, and personality - and we are so lucky to be entrusted with their care. That said, adoptions are slower than ever, and our latest fundraiser was a net loss, as we spent more on gas than we raised - by a lot. 😢

Anyone else noticed an increase in pet care cost? I certainly have!! A surgery performed on a friends 120lb dog in 2021 cost $5000.
Another friend was quoted yesterday $10,000 for a very similar surgery on their 15 lb cat
