We’ve been busy this weekend with projects. Plumbing, painting our shed, working in the garden, among other things. 🍅🌿

We’re so grateful for the rain we’ve had over the past few days. I’m sure the firefighters, and the garden, are happy too.

Now it’s time to relax and enjoy the fruits of our labour. Happy Sunday, folks.

Hi friends! We have quite a few heads of lettuce that need to get eaten - they are starting to bolt in the heat (and we can only eat so much). Swing on by and grab one or two before we give them to the food bank!

Glorious rainbow carrots 🥕⁠

These are last year's crop. Everything, with the exception of tomatoes and flowers, seems to be at least three weeks behind in our garden. Even with all of the warm weather we've had. Our long, cool spring really set some of our crops back this year, including our carrots. ⁠
⁠
The good news is once they're established, carrots can withstand frost and be stored in the ground. Some people even store them in the ground all winter, which can result in sweeter, crunchier carrots. ⁠
⁠
So, even though we're a bit behind this year, not all is lost.
