Week three of Basic Manners ! Such a fun group !! Can we all just give a round of applause to Breezy for her bike riding skills and to the pups who - for the most part held a down stay !! Love love love. What a brilliant group !

Can’t believe next week this class graduates. There is no better compliment in life then to receive such kind words. And the stapler - If you know you know. I laughed so hard. I spit out my drink 😂😂 Anne you know I had to post the stapler cause everyone will get a chuckle from it 😂😂

Lucy has been struggling with a few things in class so today was the perfect day to hang out with her for an afternoon and give her a little more support that she needed. Well done Lucy well done.

New class schedules are up for end of the month / July

Coming up this Saturday is our fun day from 11-5pm. This is run in one hour private time slots to allow for all dogs all ages even reactive dogs.

The things no one talks about but inside conversations are plenty. It’s time we open up the conversation about what life is like living with a reactive dog. If you have lived with one or currently have one maybe share your story below and help others understand they are not alone in this journey. Rescue dogs will always have a soft spot in my heart but no one prepares you for just how much your life changes when they are reactive.

Finding the perfect harness for your dog is super important for keeping them comfortable and happy on walks. A proper fitting harness spreads out the pressure evenly, letting your dog move freely without restrictions on their joints. In particular their shoulders. A harness that digs in or sits across their shoulders can hurt their joints over time.

So, when you’re picking one out, make sure to measure your dog and think about their breed and energy levels. Look for clear shoulder movements. If you have a dog that pulls on leash, look for one that has both a front and a back clip. The front helps maintain control. If using one that only has a back clip, it makes it more comfortable for the dog to pull. A snug, comfy harness not only makes walks more fun but also helps keep those joints healthy and your furry friend feeling great!

Rescue Dog Essentials Week Two. We open our hearts and our homes to rescue dogs, but no one ever talks about the challenges that often come with it the unpacking and learning that these dogs go through is truly remarkable. Time, patience and education is how we help them. One walk at a time. What a lucky group of pups to have landed with such dedicated owners.
