Well, the flea beetles are really bad this year, not enough to frost to reduce the population. This crop of turnips is going to have to get turned in. Sticky is saying goodbye...

When I was a child in south Ontario
We'd pack up the car on a Sunday
And drive out real slow
And the farms were all around us
And the wind in the trees did blow

First they built a highway, and then a neighbourhood
Soon they had paved over all the land that was good
Now cars and houses occupy
The place where our food could grow

I'm just a tenant farmer, I don't know what I'll do
The frackers they are coming, and they say I am zone two

I can't find a place now to exercise my hoe

I raise crops and cattle in the Peace
