Many of you may not know that our clinics are proud and active members of the South Asian Veterinary Association (SAVA), an organization representing veterinarians of South Asian heritage.

The recent wildfires in Ontario have devastated homes and communities and have also left many animals in urgent need of treatment, shelter, and care. In response, SAVA members came together and raised an incredible $50,000 for the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association’s Wildfire Relief Fund.

We are proud to be part of an association that steps forward when help is needed. Together, we will continue supporting animals and giving back to the communities we are fortunate to call home. ❤️🐾

We’d like to give a warm welcome to Taylor, who has joined our team at St. Clair Animal Hospital in Corunna as our new Front Desk Receptionist!

Taylor brings with her previous experience in reception and client care, and we’re excited to have her as part of our team. She has already been settling into her new role, and many of you may have already had the chance to meet her.

Today, we are wishing Mackenzie all the best as she starts an exciting new chapter in the London area.

Mackenzie has been an incredible member of the St. Clair Animal Hospital team. Her hard work, dedication, and caring attitude have made a lasting impact on our patients, clients, and coworkers. We are truly grateful for everything she has done.

While we’ll certainly miss seeing her around the clinic, we’re excited for her and this new opportunity. The team that welcomes her will be lucky to have such a talented and compassionate person.

🦇 Is Your Pet Up to Date on Their Rabies Vaccine? 🐶🐱

A bat in Blenheim has recently tested positive for rabies, serving as an important reminder that rabies is present in our community.

Rabies is one of the deadliest diseases affecting both animals and people. Once symptoms develop, it is almost always fatal—but the good news is that it is highly preventable through vaccination.

✔️ Check your pet’s rabies vaccination status.
✔️ If your pet is overdue, call us today to book an appointment.
✔️ If your pet has any contact with a bat or other wild animal, contact your veterinarian immediately—even if you don’t see a bite or scratch.

Protecting your pet with a rabies vaccine also helps protect your family and our community.

🐶 PARVOVIRUS ALERT – PLEASE HELP PROTECT OUR PUPPIES 🐶

We are currently seeing parvovirus cases in puppies here in Chatham-Kent.

Parvovirus is highly contagious and can make puppies very sick. Unfortunately, despite treatment, some puppies do not survive. The good news is that parvovirus is largely preventable through vaccination.

Please help protect your puppy by:
✅ Keeping puppies and dogs up to date on their vaccinations.
✅ Avoiding dog parks and other high-traffic dog areas until puppies have completed their vaccine series.
✅ Cleaning up dog f***s promptly and practicing good hygiene.
✅ Keeping any sick or unvaccinated dog away from other dogs and contacting your veterinarian immediately if your puppy becomes ill.

Common signs of parvovirus include:
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea (often bloody)
• Loss of appetite
• Lethargy
• Fever

To all of our clients: Please make sure your puppies and dogs are up to date on their vaccinations.
