Meet frejya, she's a Great Pyrenees and she comes all the way from Newington every weekend to get to work with her human. Whilst a lot of people don't have fenced in yards they are not able to reinforce and build that much needed recall. I often time catch myself by the baseball diamonds so the dogs can let out months/weeks of pent up energy and lately the baseball season has picked up and the empty field that I was under pretence of being a dog park is simply a field for kids to run around while siblings are playing baseball wich is fair but dogs being left without a designated area to run and play free or be trained to listen with distractions ext... the benefits of a park are endless and it broke my heart when I was told working with these dogs in the only isolated area was very frowned upon and that I should have a place for "my dogs" to play. I don't think it's fair to say everyone one of my customers should spend boat loads on installing a fence nor should I have to make a private dog park in my back yard. So with that being said we are going to be doing everything in our power to get everyone a dog park we will be speaking with the city on Monday to see how they are willing to help and keep you guys posted. All we ask is that you share this and spread awareness as there are no excuses not to have a dog park.
So let's make this come to fruition and get the dogs a park so dogs like Frejya and your's can run, train or make friends any day anytime!

Small dogs need walks too! We are now offering 30 minute sessions for those who can't handle a full hour for only 15$ a session!

What can you say, boys will be boys. Ozzy loving his first time at the park with Kicho. It is always a blast getting friends out to the park especially for a dog like Ozzy who doesnt have any friends to play with and doesnt get let off leash outside as he tends to get too exited and it can be scary if you arent trained or ready for it. These moments are key moments building his self-confidence as just a few months ago he couldn't even go for walks because of how strong willed he was. After working with me and walking better every session it was about time to bring him to the park to reward him and boy was he happy when leaving the park he was being very attentive so I didn't put his leash on and he followed directly back into the car no second thoughts about it then just layed calm until he got home he did a whole 360 from the moment I picked him up yesterday to the moment I dropped him off. It's simply incredible what taking care of a dogs needs and giving them what they want can do!

Chica enjoying her Monday training session... great day of working on recall and reinforcing the sit command. Chicas first time off leash and she loved it.. giving her that leeway allowed her to know how much trust and respect I have in her and she demonstrated the same levels of trust and respect immediately by sticking by my side for guidance, coming back to me at all times and sitting when I come to a stop with her. Overall a great experience and a yet another demonstration of what being confident in yourself as well as the dog can allow you and your dog to do.

If you consider your pet family you should really consider feeding them raw food if you haven't already, it's a super simple switch and is absolutely the healthiest option for your dog.
