Last month, we received the heartbreaking news that Simon had passed away. Out of respect for his family, I wanted to wait before sharing anything publicly, and I have now received their permission to do so.

For the last four years, I had the honor of cat-sitting Simon several times throughout the year. He truly became part of our family. Every night, he would curl up and sleep with the kids. He knew my husband's schedule so well that he'd patiently wait by the stairs for him to come home, knowing it was almost time for his meal. Every morning, he'd loudly remind me it was time to open his wet food, and every evening ended with our little routine—me brushing his beautiful fur while he affectionately licked my legs.

Our home became his second home. He had all of his favorite spots, his familiar routines, and a place where he was deeply loved.

We will all miss you so much, Simon. Thank you for letting us love you.

Rest in peace, sweet boy. I hope Shelby was there to greet you at the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈🐾❤️
