Happy labour's day long weekend everyone. Before stopping into the canada open we went for a quick hike. I hope at some point we will be good enough to enter a trial like this. Wow, all the great breeds and even a couple of gsd's and mals too

The Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) was founded as a private, not-for-profit foundation in 1966 by John M. Olin, a well-known inventor, industrialist, philanthropist, conservationist, and sportsman.

Olin was an avid sportsman, hunter, and field trial participant. When hip dysplasia began to impact the performance of Olin’s dogs, he organized an initial meeting with representatives of the veterinary community, the Golden Retriever Club of America, and the German Shepherd Dog Club of America to discuss means of limiting the disease. This ultimately led to the formation and incorporation of the OFA.

A beautiful though hot day to go for a quick track. The fields are pretty nice. With a wall or 2 of corn. It's pretty cool how they grind it all up for the water Buffalo 🐃

Then home to cool down in the yard, lol both dogs picked the same ball. 😆

We honor K9 Arlo. ❤️ today and everyday. K9 Arlo is Storms brother who were able to play together as puppies before he went off for training. We are giving thanks to all K9's for the work they do. Much respect 🙏

Today is Purple Heart Day, and I want to take a moment to honor all the brave men, women, and K9s who have earned this award through sacrifice and service.

Many of you know K9 Arlo’s story — the night he was shot in the line of duty during a pursuit. That night changed both of our lives forever. Arlo took two bullets and fought like hell to survive. For his bravery, he was awarded the Purple Heart. Thanks to Working Dogs Oregon

But this day isn’t just about Arlo. It’s about every single warrior who’s been wounded in action — those who came home with scars, and those who never made it back. I’ve served alongside some incredible people, and I carry their stories and sacrifices with me every day.

To those who’ve received the Purple Heart — human or K9 — we see you, we honor you, and we remember you.

I took both dogs to a swimming and hiking adventure this past couple of weeks. They had such a great time.

Atlas was able to spend some time with his sister Anders today. They were both very happy to see each other. ❤️
