Today would have been Chess's 13th birthday. My sweet girl is so dearly missed. I've struggled a lot with her passing. At the end of January we adopted Ino from GTHS. Bringing her home has helped ease the pain of losing my partner in crime, and help celebrate her today with a sweet treat of pizza crust and lovely walk down the trail (swipe to see her sweet smile). I hope you are all enjoying this lovely spring day and excuse my aloofness. I have more portraits coming. I just can't show any yet. ❤️❤️

Keeping with the cat trend this is to date the largest cat portrait I have done. 18x24 acrylic on canvas. There was a large amount of layers and detail that went into this one. A great learning curve in mixing colour as well as those browns, blacks and oranges are not just that.

This week has not been great. What started on Monday as a little cough with chess has now turned into a very serious life threatening condition. We are still waiting on confirmation of what it actually is but is 1 of two things. One being lung cancer or two blastomycosis which is a fungus infection. As of right now we are first treating for blastomycosis. Chess is 12.5 year old I was hoping for a couple more years with best girlie. To help off set her vet bills I am offering my acrylic canvas board paintings at 75% off. These would make a great Christmas present for any fur parent. The ugle stage.

I haven't been doing much painting lately as life has myself and family on a new path. Hoping in our new home, once we find one. I can actually set up a proper studio to work in. And able to take on commissions again.

This here is an entry I'm working on for a pet portrait contest. And also trying out fur patterns I have yet to do!
