2021 CWHBA Gelding (Rip N Rio Z x Odilon)

This is an exciting sport horse prospect for someone to continue developing! Known as Kingston around the barn, this gelding has the best personality to work with. He is very level minded, kind, smart, and affectionate. Kingston had 45 days of training in the fall of 2024 and then came to MM Equine to continue his training in March of 2025. He just started cantering under saddle in April and while he is still very green, he is safe and easy to ride. He has shown incredible growth in a short period of time!

Kingston has a great canter with reach and balance, is soft in the mouth, and is developing a lovely sense of carriage. He has been free jumped once since arriving and immediately understood the assignment. He showed good technique and bravery! His scope has not been tested. Currently measures at 15.2hh, seems like a late bloomer, should finish around 16hh. He has great presence in person and on camera!

3-7 yrs old, 15.3hh-17hh, mare or gelding, preference to black/solid feet. Will consider a variety of breeds including OTTB's with a good mind. Will be slowly brought along for a teen in a program, with scope for 3'/3'3 down the road. Budget low 4's, ideally local to Calgary!

I had the best time judging at Twisted Tree Stables in Medicine Hat! Shonda and Sabrina are the best hosts, and put on an awesome show for all levels of riders. Judging from the middle of the ring was a blast! They run both a hunter and a jumper day. The addition of the hunter derbies was 👌🏼 so much fun. Can't wait to return in August! Great job to all of the volunteers, it sure does take a village!
