Gone Wild Kennels was established as a dog boarding facility by Dave and Jackie Lovell in 2004. We are located approximately 13 kms northwest of Cochrane, Alberta. Our family run dog kennel caters to all types of dogs, big and small. In the fall of 2010 we expanded the business to include CATS and renovated our old house. tter CAT boarding facility in the Calgary area!!! Our philosophy is to create an environment where your four legged family member is safe, happy, has plenty of activity and is well socialized. The 6 large open areas promote play and interaction between all of our guests. Each kennel is set up with a door to allow access to the inside and outside for each of our guests. The inside portion of each kennel is 5 feet by 6 feet and heated for your pets comfort. The outside portion of each kennel is 18 feet long by 5 feet wide. There is no doubling up of dogs in our kennels; however dogs from the same family will have plenty of space when sharing a kennel. We prefer to have a maximum of three dogs in each kennel from the same family, depending on the size of the dogs. Gone Wild Kennels believes that if we have a friendly, active environment for our guests, they are much happier and far less stressed about being away from their family. All of our dogs have play time in the play areas at least three times a day for approximately an hour each time. Because the areas are safe and secure, we are able to spend more time with the dogs outside of their individual kennels. We hope that with a higher level of activity and our interaction with our guests, they will relax and enjoy their time in our kennels.
