Patience is a virtue!

Photographer extraordinaire Jeannie Gane Photography was on site for our Trilogy show on May 28. Jeannie chose 709 pictures - out of thousands!!! - to add to the album below. Her pictures have been sponsored for our participants use. With one very important and non negotiable caveat: if you use any of Jeannie's pictures, you must provide her with credit for them.

The countdown is already on for 2023!! All the best for a successful, fun and safe horse show season.

Thank you, riders, coaches, judges, sponsors, parents, friends, volunteers. You are all amazing. And the main reason days like today are possible. Thank you doesn't seem to even cut it.

ATTENTION PARTY PEOPLE!!!

A few important reminders, please.

PARKING - please use Apple Orchard Road to get to parking. There will be signs directing you where to go. The barn driveway Will not be accessible. Please use your judgement when parking and be mindful there are a good number of trailers coming. Please try and leave extra cars/vehicles at home and carpool where possible.

DRESSAGE - you have the opportunity to circle around the OUTSIDE of the dressage ring, before the Judge blows the whistle - at which point you've got 45 seconds to make your turn up centre line.

STADIUM - picture of the course is below. Yes, while it says PE and E, the course is the same for all divisions. Please remember to salute the judge and wait for the whistle.

QUESTIONS - we like questions, but not surprises. Please don't hesitate to ask any of the volunteers any questions you have.

BE KIND - we do this, because we love our horses. You against you. That person beside you... guaranteed they're feeling all the same things that you are. Remember that.🖤

A sneak peak!!

The SJ course is set at 470m for all divisions. Our Grasshopper and Novice divisions are not timed. Pre-Entry and Entry are timed at 300 meters per minute (mpm) and Pre-Training at 325 mpm....

Course maps will be posted here, later this morning.

Start times are available in the pictures below...mostly because our secretary, Carrie isn't cool enough to understand how to upload a file to FB.

Remember - if there are Errors or Omissions - which we are positive there very well could be - please reach out to Carrie directly. She will sort it out with you.

Remember - there were not a lot of coaches listed on the entry forms - make it easy on your coach (and show organizers!!) and include them for the next show...otherwise there could be nothing but 20m circles for you in your forseeable future.

Remember - it's you against you. Be brave. Be fearless. Be relentless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire. Be better than you were the day before, and I promise you will make magic happen.

Remember - there are a few tight times...Carrie has reached out to those in that situation to give them the heads up. Let her know if (reasonable!!) you'd like adjustments to try to be made.

Remember- have fun.

It's getting close....can you feel it?
There are so many reasons, why the Trilogy Combined Test Series is such a good thing.

One of those things, is being able to see the hours of work, the buckets of sweat, all come together as you trot down centre line, halt at "X" and salute. Seeing the smiles and the pats and the fist pumps as you come through the Stadium finish flags. Not sure there is a better feeling out there...for a rider, a coach, a parent, a friend, an organizer.

Kerri Combes, is the brainpower behind KC Equestrian Colours. One of the many things, that makes Kerri an awesome human, is her love of the sport. Both she and her daughter, Phoebe are active in the Eventing World. You can't miss them, or any of Kerri's riders. Why? Because that's the magic of her company...you know them, when you see them because of the different displays of personality each rider shows off with Kerri's fully custom creations.

Maplewood Stables Cobourg is pleased to be able to present a fully customized shirt to the rider, competing in any one full division, with the lowest overall score of the day. (Ties will be broken by paper-rock-scissors. Not kidding.)
Not just for cross country, Kerri's shirts should be a staple in every rider's OOTD.

Hi everyone, Carrie here. I read once, somewhere along the way, that often the hardest thing and the right thing are the same. How appropriate given the times. Keeping our community, our family, our loved ones safe, during this pandemic is everyone’s priority, and that really does go without saying. In consultation with Jen and Kaylea, we have made the decision to cancel this year’s Kubota Trilogy Combined Test Series @ Maplewood Stables Cobourg. It’s more important to have next year to look forward to, rather than potentially rush through something now.

At one point during our inaugural running last year, I had an opportunity to stop and just…look. Look at what the Maplewood team had created. Look at the people. The horses. Look at the smiles. Look at the work people had put in. A picture is worth a thousand words, and while we might not always remember the day, we will always, always remember the moment.

We will get through this.
