☀️Warm weather is upon us! ☀️

But that also means it’s the perfect temperature for fleas and ticks….ewww!

Although it is not mandatory to be on a flea/tick prevention program for a pet to receive grooming, it is highly advised.

Fleas and ticks are invasive and can spread diseases that may be harmful for you and your pets. A simple prevention program from your vet can help stop that.

If fleas are found during the grooming service, the groom will turn into a “quick service” and minimal work will be done in order to get the pet out quickly. A flea bath will be given (at an extra charge) and the pet will be dried and given a given light trim (if required).
The longer a pet stays in the shop the higher chance there is of fleas spreading.

If multiple ticks are found on a dog a similar procedure to fleas will be preformed.
Ticks will be placed in a bag, and owner can take to the vet for testing if they choose to do so.

I always clean and disinfect between pets, but all it takes is 1 teeny tiny flea being missed.
Having your dog on a flea/tick prevention program will minimize their chances of catching these nasty little pest and make for a much more enjoyable summer! 😍🌞🐶
