Pongo's Place is a small equine sanctuary/rescue located minutes from Georgian Bay in Grey County. Most having come from the slaughter pipeline via the kill pens in Ottawa. Over the years the shift happed from mostly rescue/re-homing to sanctuary as many could not be re-homed due to either medical, physical or psychological issues. Most of our focus has shifted to providing a soft forever landing
to those that are unable to find a loving home we do still re-home whenever possible. This mission has always been funded by myself and my daughter however we are always open and appreciative any and all donations and we thank those who have contributed over the years from the bottom of our hearts. Sadly the cost of hay, bedding, meds, blankets etc. continues to rise but this is our life's mission and we will soldier on! I have just recently created this page and once I become less technically challenged I will add news, photos and stories of life at PPES. Note: profile picture is Pongo the sanctuary's namesake.
