Hands up, who's hardening off plants right now, or will be soon?

How do you do it? Do you have tricks that work for you, or is this your first attempt?

I've just started bringing plants outside, and this year, I'm trying something new, and so far, so good.

Here's a quick look at Day Two, and a bit of info on what I'm doing and why.

Keep growing your joy.

So far, so good with my cuttings from fruit bushes.

Two weeks ago, I started the black currants and the haskaps, and thankfully they all look great.

In the past, I've made every possible mistake, so I'm hoping this time I got it right.

Moist, but not soggy. Warm, but not hot. Love and encouragement daily. πŸ’šπŸŒ±πŸ˜

Last night I found freshly pruned kiwi vines, and I'm curious to see if I can get them to root.

Next up, blueberries, grapes, and hopefully red currants.

Growing my joy, one plant at a time.

Greetings Groovy Gardeners! πŸ˜πŸ’šπŸŒ±

Maximizing space when starting seeds is important, whether you have a huge greenhouse, or a tiny window sill, and the best way to maximize space is to "multi-sow".

Multi-sow is just a fancy term for a bunch of seeds planted tightly together designed to maximize space.

In this Two Minute Tutorial I explain how I multi-sow based on the different needs of different seeds. Or, more specifically, the needs of the different kinds of roots.

Hope everyone is growing their joy. πŸ˜πŸ’šπŸŒ±πŸ…

And the garden keeps on giving! πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³

Celery, kale, tomatoes, carrots, beets, swiss chard, and raspberries.

I also brought back seed heads for zinnias, cosmos, and Rouge d'Hiver lettuce.

So grateful. πŸ’šπŸŒ»πŸŒ±πŸ…

Tropical Sunset, Black Mini, One Million, Garten Perle, Principe Borghese.

Very happy with the fun mix we got growing, just outside, across the parking lot.

My seeds. My seedlings.

Badge acquired. Level up. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³

A follow up video on my little courtyard, sanctuary garden. (spoiler alert - I stood my ground πŸ˜‚)

We have a rain barrel in the courtyard, but it's been empty most of the summer, so we've been hauling water from downstairs in 4L jugs to keep everything growing.

Definitely worth the effort. πŸ₯³πŸ…πŸŒ±πŸŒΆοΈπŸŒ»
