One year ago, we had the privilege of welcoming David Christensen to our community to capture the everyday life of our clinic on film. We invite you to join us for a special evening as we share this documented experience and celebrate our incredible team, valued friends, and beloved animals. The film is approximately 2 hours in length.

It has become evident that there is an outbreak of kennel cough in dogs around the Cardston and Standoff area. If your dog is exhibiting signs of repetitive coughing, gagging or lethargy please contact the Clinic. If you suspect your dog has kennel cough and come to the clinic, please stay outside in your car with your dog and we will come to you in the parking lot. Kennel cough is highly contagious between dogs. There is a vaccine available if your dog is healthy. If your dog is exhibiting signs, there are treatment options.

We thought it was time to update our staff photo! Have you met all the members of our hardworking team? Let us introduce them to you if you haven’t! From left to right:

Aliyah: Vet Tech student who started here a few years ago! She married a local boy so she’s not going anywhere 😉

Jenna L: Super compassionate, hardworking, aspiring vet student who is a volunteer turned full time employee the last year, she lives by her motto: It’s only good enough if it’s perfect.

Ada: Dr Merkleys oldest daughter who helps here after school. She can make a mean Açai bowl!

Holly: Dr Merkleys wife, our fearless captain, who ensures the ship does not sink!

Dr Merkley: the one and only G.O.A.T. although he prefers pigs. Biscoff is his kryptonite 🤫

Jenna R: Veterinary Assistant with that farm girl experience and matching work ethic. A broken bone will not stop her from caring for your pet!

Kayleen: Veterinary Assistant devoted to animals and her family. When she’s not here, ranching or with her family, she’s listening to Lainey Wilson somewhere.

Kerri: Office Manager who did the impossible and filled the big shoes Colleen left when she retired!

Jana: Registered Veterinary Technician who’s been working here over 15+ years. If you don’t see her it’s because she’s working the trenches in the back, saving the day. Will take bribes if given Brooksides chocolates!

This after hours C-Section had a happy ending, even if it was just one chubby puppy blocking the way! Thank you to our spouses, families and clients for accommodating the crazy hours we sometimes have to work! Here’s our vet tech student Aliyah, with her husband celebrating their 6 month anniversary! The only baby they’re delivering is someone else’s puppy!
