– Active, Smart, and Loving Farm/Acreage Pup Wanted!

Breed: Shepherd/Lab Cross
Age: 11 months old
Weight: ~80 lbs

Location: Canmore, AB
“It is with a very heavy heart that we are searching for a new, forever home for our sweet girl. She is an absolutely fantastic dog, but as she’s settled in, we’ve realized we cannot give her the wide-open lifestyle and space she truly deserves.

What makes her amazing:
Outdoorsy & Adventurous: She is completely in her element when hiking, camping, skiing, or exploring areas like Bragg Creek.

Affectionate Cuddle Bug: Once she warms up to you, she absolutely loves her people and is a big cuddler on the couch.

Smart & Trainable: She is highly intelligent and picks up commands incredibly fast. We’ve been working on “drop it,” “leave it,” “place,” and “release,” and she learns quickly.

Dog-Friendly: She gets along great with every dog she meets.

Cat-Curious: She is fascinated by cats and is usually actually afraid of them!

Her ideal environment:Because she is an 80 lb, 11-month-old Shepherd/Lab mix, she needs room to run. Her forever home would ideally be a rural property, farm, or acreage where she has plenty of space and freedom.

Things to know:

Protective Nature: She is protective of her family and will bark at neighbours and young children when in a shared-yard setting.

Resource Guarding: She has some resource guarding tendencies, which we are actively working on and managing with great success.

Shy at First: She can be a bit shy initially, especially around men, but she warms up quickly with treats and patience.

We love her dearly and are looking for someone with experience and the right space to let her thrive.”
