🐾🐱 HAPPY INTERNATIONAL CAT DAY! 🐱🐾

Today we celebrate the tiny whiskered faces who make us laugh, comfort us when we’re sad, knock things off counters for absolutely no reason, and somehow manage to take over our entire hearts. ❤️

At CAARS, every cat has a story. Some came to us scared. Some were abandoned. Some were injured or sick. Some were born outside with no safe place to call home.

And some simply needed someone to believe that they were worth saving. 🐾

Since opening our doors in 2020, we’ve had the privilege of helping hundreds of cats find safety, healing, and forever families. Every adoption, every foster, every donation, every share and every volunteer helps us continue that work.

Today, give your cat an extra treat. 🐟
Give them an extra cuddle. 🥰
And if you don't have a cat yet… well, we might know a few who would LOVE to meet you. 😉

🐾 Does anyone recognize this sweet boy? 🐾

It's now been some time since this handsome little guy, now named Dodger, was found after he was almost hit by a car near Fika Coffeehouse.

Despite sharing him multiple times, no one has come forward to claim him. We always want to make every effort to reunite lost pets with their families before moving forward.

If Dodger looks familiar, or if you know someone who may be missing a gray-and-white kitten from the area, please reach out to CAARS as soon as possible.

Please help us by sharing this post. Even after a wait, there's always a chance that the right person simply hasn't seen it yet.

✨ Heather is still waiting for her forever family! 🩷

Sweet Heather is the last of her litter still searching for a place to call home. While all of her siblings have found their families, this cuddly little girl is patiently hoping her turn is next.

🐾 Loves to cuddle and will happily curl up beside you at bedtime.
🐾 Playful, affectionate, and full of personality.
🐾 Gets along well with both cats and dogs.

Heather has so much love to give, and she's ready to become someone's best friend.

Dorothy has been a long-time supporter of CAARS and has graciously continued to stand beside us and help our rescue throughout the years. Today was no exception, and we are beyond grateful for her kindness, generosity, and continued support.

📢 Intake Reminder 📢

We wanted to send out a friendly reminder that our intakes remain CLOSED until further notice.

This is never an easy decision, but our priority is ensuring the animals already in our care receive the time, medical attention, and resources they deserve. As a foster-based rescue, we can only take in as many animals as we have safe placements and funding to support.

We know this may be disappointing, and we truly wish we could help every animal in need. Thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support as we work through the animals currently in our care.

If you'd like to help us reopen intakes sooner, please consider fostering, volunteering, donating, or adopting. Every bit of support makes a difference.

🚨 Missing Cat – Please Help Us Find Nestor 🚨

Our sweet boy Nestor escaped through a foster's bedroom window today and is now missing in the sparling area.

Nestor is neutered and microchipped. While he is typically a friendly cat, he is extremely shy and was very frightened when he got out. Because of this, he will most likely not come to people, even if you call him.

If you see Nestor, please do not chase him. Instead, keep an eye on where he goes if it is safe to do so, and contact CAARS immediately with his location.

Every sighting is important and could help bring him safely home.
