💙🐾 Tank Found His Forever 🐾💙

I don’t think I’ve ever cried so many tears as I did today. From the start, I knew my heart and my home were just stepping stones on Tank’s journey to finding his forever.

When we first took him in, I knew it wasn’t going to be a simple case of training and vetting. Then, when someone heartlessly took him from us, we prayed and hoped for almost two weeks to have him back. And when he finally returned, it was like he was ready—ready for love, ready to trust.

We waited for the right home, like we always do, no matter how long it takes. Today was the big meet and greet, and we laid it all out—every challenge, every worst-case scenario—because we wanted no surprises. We expected setbacks, maybe even steps backward. But none of us expected what actually happened.

Tank went to his new family, laid down beside them, looked up with those soft eyes, and almost smiled. In that moment, I knew.

You’ll always have my heart, Tank. But now you’ve found your forever. 💙

A huge thank you to Hazel Cail, owner of Oleo’s, and Spencer Robertson, owner of Wildrose Food Service, for choosing C.A.A.R.S. as their charity of choice! 💛

Through their bucket fundraiser, they raised and donated an incredible $1,000 to support the animals in our care. 🐾

Wildrose sells their empty buckets for just $2, with proceeds going directly to rescue.

🐶🐱 Bonus tip: these buckets also make fantastic food containers for your pet’s kibble!

We are so grateful for this generous gift and for their creative way of giving back to the community. 💕
