Will there be more "Flower Fridays" this year?
I don't think so (and I hate saying that), but 'back to school' life, the work of harvesting and processing the bounty of the garden, and the fact that it just isn't as light early in the morning or late into the evening is putting the squeeze on me. I know something has to give.
But please know, dear flower lovers, that our weekly visits, making arrangements for those pivotal life experiences of births, deaths and marriage, and simply sharing the beauty and pleasure of flowers with you has been one of the highlights of my summer.
The flowers are still blooming their hearts out so now I'll honour what so many of you did each week and give as many as I can to my loved ones, my neighbours, my colleagues, and those who just need a boost, drop some off at local business, and place a jar on my kitchen counter, and simply enjoy.
