We are located on 10 picturesque, quiet acres only fifteen minutes from downtown, in Campbell River B.C. We are a family run facility where we are very passionate about providing top quality services and care to all.

This winter has certainly been a tough one here at the farm! Chores take me much longer, scooping frozen paddocks, hauling water, feeding extra hay, checking horses more often and shoveling pathways💪

This time of year especially, I am incredibly thankful for the support and help I receive from family, neighbours and our incredible borders. It takes a team to ensure our horses receive top quality care in these difficult winter months ❤️

I think we are ALL very much ready for warmer weather! Hang in there everyone 👍

Emma Bensen of Tall Timber Farms is pleased to offer haul in lessons for horses and riders, or the option for me to travel to you. I also offer training rides, and have experience working with young horses.

Fully insured, Dressage focused rider and trainer. My passion is to provide a fun, safe, and knowledgeable learning environment for horse and rider. With a focus on correct basics, and correct rider biomechanics.
I have focused on developing my horses over the years in the lower levels, as well as have schooled up to third level. I have achieved many championships and top placings over the years on and off Vancouver Island.

I strongly believe in my own development as a rider, horsewoman, and coach too. I am currently working towards my certification in Equine Performance Therapy. As well as have recently started under saddle and am training my Hanoverian mare Bellerina, by Belissimo M.

I look forward to hearing from you, to assist in creating and developing a plan for you and your horse to reach your goals! 😁🐴

Goodmorning everyone, I wanted to begin this post by saying thank you to all of our followers and friends for their continued support. As well as apologize for not posting on this page as much as I would have liked, things have been very busy!
I wanted to give some updates on the happenings around the barn😁

Firstly, I wanted to say that all of our boarding spaces are currently full with an absolute fantastic group of horses and riders. Each day I have so much fun, and smiles with everyone. As well as I cannot thank each of you enough for your help around the barn when needed🥰

Secondly, Bellerina and I have been making some great progress, I am absolutely thrilled with her. Unfortunately our riding has been put on hold though, as I need to purchase a new saddle. It is extremely important to me to use proper fitting tack on my horses, for their mental and physical well being, they deserve only the best!

Thirdly, I have been very busy with my studies, and new business venture. I will be going away for a few weeks very soon to complete my training and exams, stay tuned for very exciting new services that will be offered, I cannot WAIT to share this with you! 😍

Lastly, I am still offering riding lessons, but at this time I do not have a lesson horse, as Callie is retired due to arthritis. Can you believe she will be 26 at the end of the month?!
Coaching services are available to riders who have their own horse, and wish to do haul in lessons, or I can travel to you. Please contact for more information.
