Meet Hedgehog ❤️.

He's guessed to be about 14 years old and weighs in at a whopping 5 pounds.

He was found in the middle of a busy city as an unclaimed stray. Severely matted, incredibly long nails, terrified and out of sorts.

Hedgehog tested positive for an active Lyme Disease infection making limb movements full of achy joints. A heart murmur ✅️, and a face so rotten, he had large holes leading from his mouth to his nose. That mouth, it contained one yucky tooth. The rest had already rotted and fallen out.

And his back end, not only left intact, but his testicles blackened from infection. A tiny baby who could no longer p*e properly & screamed in pain.

Hedgehog was someone's dog out there...

Let his story sink in for a minute. This isn't far away. This is our own Ontario backyard. Neglect happens right here too.

Fast forward several weeks, and the new Hedgehog, he's feeling sooooo much better now ❤️.

Thank you to his first foster via the shelter he was in and the shelter for taking such good care of his medical needs too.

And now?

At his Happy's Place foster? Hedgehog is busy learning all about how to be his best dog self. He's great with other dogs and cats and even best buds with his new rabbit friend too.

And this now neutered, toothless wonder? He's simply as sweet as pie. Hedgehog is almost finished his Lyme Disease treatment and it's already put the zip and zoom back into his little old man self.

When shelters and rescues work together, big changes happen for very deserving little old dogs.

And Hedgehog? He's left his neglectful past exactly where it should be. Well behind him now.

Snuggles, cuddles and adventures are totally where it's at. Welcome to Happy's Place Hedgehog ❤️.

NOODLE - ADOPTION PENDING

Hi! I’m Noodle. I’m a 21-month-old Lab x Poodle (aka Doodle), about 55.5 lbs, and once I settle in… I’m a fun, playful, happy guy who just wants to be part of everything.
I can take a minute to get comfortable in new situations, but once I do, my personality really shines. I’m goofy, loving, and always ready for some fun. I’m great with other dogs and would love to have some dog friends to play with. I’m also good with kids and seem pretty neutral around cats.

I’m fully house trained and don’t require a crate, in fact, I’m not a big fan of it. As long as food isn’t left out (I will help myself even if it is on a counter), I do just fine having free roam. I enjoy walks and am learning my leash manners. I can pull a bit, but I’m already improving and just need some consistency.
Car rides are absolutely no problem… I’m happy to come along for the adventure.

What I’m really looking for is a home that will continue helping build my confidence, one that will continue my training and of course Include me in lots of fun activities and outings
I’d thrive with an active family who wants a dog to take on adventures, and I’d especially love having some friends, both human and dog.

An adoption fee of $550 applies for me. I am neutered, have been vaccinated with my age appropriate vaccinations, been dewormed, been given flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and will come with 30 days of free pet insurance as well as my health certificate.
