We will be closed this upcoming weekend for the Victoria Day holiday.

Holiday Office Hours:
Friday May 15th: 8:00am - 6:00pm
Saturday May 16th: CLOSED
Sunday May 17th: CLOSED
Monday May 18th: CLOSED
Tuesday May 19th: 8:00am - 6:00pm

If your pet is experiencing an emergency while we are closed, please do not hesitate to contact The Emergency Clinic of Waterloo Region at 519-650-1617. They are located at 405 Maple Grove Rd. Unit 14 Cambridge, ON.

Please allow 24-48 hours for prescription refills (longer for compounded prescriptions) and food orders.

With multiple Lyme cases already this year, we are reminding everyone to consider parasite prevention as a part of thier pets healthcare! Lyme is transmitted by the Black- legged tick (deer tick) but many of the other species of ticks carry diseases that can cause an issue for your pet and you!

This tiny deer tick nymph was found today on a patient. Thankfully the dog was very light in colour and we seen it crawling around on their head, otherwise it most likely could have gone unnoticed!
When ticks are in their nymph stage, they are extremley small and not easily detected. This is also the stage where they are most likely to transmit Lyme disease.

January 30th 2026 is not a day our Main Street family will soon forget. On this day we lost not only a co-worker or employee but also a dear friend. Our groomer, Kristy Mitton, unexpectedly passed away.

To say that Kristy was an amazing human was an understatement. Kristy had Cystic Fibrosis but she did not allow this to limit her. She had been the recipient of a double lung transplant almost 20 years ago. This was a gift that allowed her to live life to the fullest and for which she was deeply grateful.

As a co-worker she was always there with a funny story, quick joke, or self deprecating remark meant to put a smile on your face. Her love of animals ran deep and she always wanted to make sure her grooming pets were given the best treatment they could receive while in her care.

In addition to her grooming work, Kristy was an avid equestrian. She loved her time in the barn. She competed in numerous horse shows and used her talent for dressage to teach others.

If you had ever met Kristy you knew right away she was one of the strongest, sweetest people around despite everything she had gone through in her young life. We admired her for that.

Her loss has shaken this team to its core and Kristy will be forever missed. Our condolences go to her family and loved ones.

Rest in peace sweet Kristy.

We would just like to advise our valued clients that our internet is currently down. If you have an urgent request, emergency or would like to book an appointment we are able to access internet through cell phones and our reception team would be happy to help you. Our phones and debit machines are also currently unavailable so we will processing payments as our services return. At this time we are able to accept credit and cash only.
