EMBER - ADOPTED
Hi, I’m Ember! I may only be about 11 weeks old and 10 pounds, but don’t let my size fool you. I’m believed to be a Belgian Malinois (or mix) girl, and I already carry a lot of those classic Malinois traits. I’ve got a bold personality, a high drive, and a whole lot of opinions. I like to be treated like a big dog and sometimes protest when I’m scooped up like a baby. I’m looking for a home that understands my breed and can help channel my energy and intelligence into something meaningful.
I’m good with other dogs, but I need a little time to warm up to bigger ones as they can be a bit scary at first! Once I feel safe, I’m happy to play, though I can be a bit of a pest if my dog friends don’t set boundaries. With proper guidance, I should be fine with cats too. As for kids, I’d do best with older ones who understand that I’m still learning. I’m mouthy, as is typical for my breed, so I need help learning what’s okay to chew and what’s not. I’m working on house training and getting used to my crate. I don’t love being left alone but I do settle after a bit.
I’ve got a high energy level and a confident, curious nature. I love anything that moves, and I’ve got a habit of proudly dragging around toys twice my size. Because I’m so busy, I’ll need to be crated during car rides. I’m not the type to sit still in the backseat. What I really need is someone who understands how smart and driven I am. I thrive with structure, daily training, and lots of enrichment. I’ve got a huge brain, a big heart, and a ton of potential and I’d probably be incredible at dog sports or any kind of structured activity.

An adoption fee of $500 applies for me. I have been spayed (shelter protocol), I have also been vaccinated with my age appropriate vaccinations, been dewormed, been given flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and will come with 30 days of free pet insurance as well as my health certificate.
