They say on Oct 27, the veil blurs and all the pets you’ve loved that have crossed the rainbow bridge come to visit you. I don’t know exactly why but these babies have all been on my mind so much lately. I miss them terribly, but I know they are together. Tonight, I look forward to seeing them all in my dreams. Gracie, Gus, Sophie. What a gift it was to share my years with you. And thank you for sending so many dogs for me to love. ❤️

Acquisition: The training we give our dogs- for example, teaching them the sit command.
Fluency: When your dog can do a sit without luring, where it becomes an automatic response.
Generalization: When your dog can perform the sit in a variety of environments and situations- not just at home or where there are no distractions.
Maintenance: When the sit has become part of their regular behaviour- as with all things that need to be “maintained”- regular practice is required.
** You want success in each stage before you move to the next one! This takes patience, time and consistency**

My daughter Taylor brought Gus home one evening- big goofy boy who had never had an easy day in his short life. I loved him, so deeply and the loss of him shattered my heart. Then Gracie- the most beautiful soul. I didn’t know when I would have it in me to hand my heart over to another dog. Then Emma sneaks home the fattest, goofy puppy. I spend weeks telling her to find him a home and falling in love with him. And the rest is history. He healed my heart, and I love him so very much. He’s my best little buddy and I don’t know what I would do without him.
