🇯🇵 Geoemyda japonica — Milestone Unlocked!
今年係我養爬生涯中交出最好嘅成績表。
呢一次可以話係我自己覺得目前最成功、最有滿足感嘅一次！
由交配、產蛋、孵化，到最後見到幼體成功出殼，每一個階段都非常振奮和充滿期待。尤其是踏入第80日，等待過程真係好煎熬，直到終於見到佢哋破殼嗰一刻🤩
對我嚟講，能夠同一年繁殖出海南地龜和日本地龜，唔只係成功出到苗咁簡單。而係改變過去飼養方式後，證明之前嘅嘗試、調整同付出開始得到回報。真係掂呀！
而更令我興奮嘅係，據我目前所知，繼海南地龜之後，今次亦可能係加拿大首次成功人工繁殖日本地龜嘅紀錄！🇨🇦 🇯🇵 🎊
This year has been my best year yet in my reptile-keeping journey.
This has to be one of my most successful and rewarding breeding experiences so far!
From mating and egg-laying to incubation, and finally seeing the hatchlings emerge, every stage was exciting and filled with anticipation. Especially after reaching Day 80 — the waiting became really intense, until finally, I saw them break through their shells. 🤩
For me, being able to successfully breed both Hainan Geoemyda spengleri and Geoemyda japonica in the same year means much more than simply producing hatchlings.
After changing my husbandry approach from what I had done in the past, this success is a real confirmation that the adjustments, experiments, and effort along the way are finally paying off.
What a feeling! This is truly a milestone worth celebrating! 🎊
And what makes this achievement even more special is that, to the best of my knowledge, this also marks the first successful captive breeding of Geoemyda japonica in Canada. 🇨🇦🇯🇵
