This weekend has me feeling a little extra emotional 🥹💗

One year ago, we brought home Miss Rosie, and tomorrow we celebrate Miss Willow’s birthday.

It’s crazy how these little four-legged babies walk into your life and somehow take up such a huge piece of your heart. They become part of the family so effortlessly that you forget what life even looked like before them.

Rosie and Willow have given our family so much more than we could ever give back to them. Endless love. Constant companionship. Belly laughs. Comfort on the hard days. Excitement on the good days. And about a million little everyday moments that wouldn’t be the same without them. 🐾

Truly two of the best additions to our family and two little souls I will forever be thankful for.

Happy gotcha weekend, Rosie, and happy birthday, Willow. We love you girls endlessly. 🥹🐶💗

Going forward, my mobile nail trim pricing will be:

🐶 $35 call-out fee for the first dog
🐶 $30 for each additional dog from the same household

Every nail trim appointment includes:
✔️ Nail trim
✔️ Dremel/grinding
✔️ Paw pad shave
✔️ Basic ear cleaning (when needed)

This small price adjustment allows me to continue providing convenient, one-on-one mobile service while maintaining the quality of care your pups deserve.

One of the hardest parts of owning a small business is saying goodbye.

Today I had to say goodbye to one of my favourite clients, Lucy, and her amazing mom, Sara, as they’re moving away. ❤️

When I first met Lucy about a year ago, nail trims were incredibly scary for her. She was nervous, unsure, and every appointment took patience, trust, and lots of figuring out what worked best for her. Together, we learned her triggers, celebrated every little win, and relied on lots of praise and high-value rewards.

Today, Lucy jumps into the trailer, hops up on the table, and stands beautifully for her nail trim and Dremel. Watching that transformation has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.

Sara, thank you for trusting me with Lucy and for putting in the work between appointments. Teamwork truly made all the difference.

To the groomers who have the pleasure of meeting Lucy next: please be kind and patient with her. She’s come such a long way, and she deserves every bit of encouragement. I know she’s going to do amazing.

I’m Tamara, the face behind Grooming With Tamara!

Almost 2 years ago, I took a leap of faith and started my mobile pet care business with one little trailer, a lot of determination, and a dream of creating something that was truly my own.

Before that, I was grooming in a salon 6 days a week. Today, I spend my days travelling around Calgary and the surrounding areas, helping dogs feel their best right from my trailer. Making the switch to working for myself has been one of the biggest—and most rewarding—decisions I’ve ever made.

What makes me the most proud isn’t just the business—it’s how it grew.

I haven’t built this through big advertising campaigns. I’ve built it through:
🐾 Word-of-mouth referrals.
❤️ Incredible clients who recommend me to their friends and family.
🤝 Support from local businesses and my community.
🐶 Volunteering with rescue organizations whenever I can.
🩷 The unwavering support of my husband, family, and friends, who have believed in me from the very beginning.

Every referral, every review, every social media share, and every dog you’ve trusted me with has helped this little business grow into something I never imagined.

I truly love what I do. Whether I’m helping a nervous puppy feel comfortable, giving a senior dog the care they deserve, or catching up with clients I’ve come to know over the past two years, I’m reminded every day why I chose this path.

As I head toward my 2-year anniversary, I’m so excited for what’s next. There are some big dreams on the horizon, and I can’t wait to continue growing alongside this amazing community.

Whether you’ve been here since day one or you’ve just found my page—thank you for being here. Every appointment, every referral, every review, and every bit of support means more than you know.

This little trailer started with an idea, a lot of hard work, and a husband who believed in me every step of the way. No matter what happens next, I’m proud of how far we’ve come and thankful for every client who’s helped make it possible. 🐾

This rescue has not only helped so many dogs over the years… but they’ve also supported me in my journey more than I can explain.
