Last week, our Chief Veterinary Officer, Dr. Robert Silver, DVM, MS, FACVBM, attended the Student American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA) Symposium at UC Davis—and what a weekend it was!

Dr. Silver spent time at the Real Mushrooms booth connecting with the next generation of veterinary professionals. He shared insights on the power of functional mushrooms in integrative veterinary medicine, and the students were eager to learn more about how these natural tools can support pets' health in meaningful ways.

Earlier this month, our Chief Veterinary Officer, Dr. Robert Silver, DVM, MS, FACVBM, hit the road in Virginia to share insights from his groundbreaking new book, There’s a Mushroom For That!

Earlier this month, Real Mushrooms had the honor of sponsoring An Evening With Rita Hogan in celebration of her new book, The Herbal Dog. The event was hosted at the Berkeley Herbal Center—a cornerstone in the herbalist community known for its commitment to herbal education, personalized herbal consultations, and house-made botanical remedies.

It was a wonderful turnout, with a room full of herbal enthusiasts and practitioners, including 3 veterinarians—an exciting reflection of the growing bridge between herbalism and integrative animal care. Rita was completely in her element, sharing insights, signing books, and connecting deeply with attendees about her work.

A cozy highlight of the evening was Joni’s mushroom tea bar, which added a warm, welcoming touch and invited guests to experience mushrooms in a new way.
