Calgary-based Manufacturer of Angled Stirrups
PEAK Equestrian, a division of Corma Industries Inc. is a Calgary-based manufacturer and retailer of PEAK Stirrups, high-performance angled English stirrup irons, designed to keep the hunter/jumper rider confident and in control. Our goal is to help the equestrian maintain the proper heels down position in the saddle, reducing strain on the rider’s ankles, knees and hips and alleviate pain. The stirrups also place the rider’s leg in the correct position on the side of the horse for optimal control and communication with the equine partner.
PEAK Stirrups are available in three different angles, 4 degrees, 6 degrees and 8 degrees, tailored to individual riders’ unique set of needs. The 4-degree angle is a subtly angled footbed for those who need a little help keeping their heels down, the 6-degree angled stirrup a moderate angle for those who want to have more pack to their punch and the 8-degree stirrup is our most extreme angle for those with previous injuries and very little or no flexibility in their ankle.
All PEAK Stirrups are made from a high-quality mid-weight aluminum and are a perfect weight for the rider to easily retrieve the stirrups without bouncing around if they are dropped. They contain a wide footbed with a strong tread to keep the foot stable in the iron and prevent it from slipping. The footbed is easy to clean, and sand will never stick. The Canadian flag embedded in the footbed is a subtle nod to the fact that the stirrups are made in Canada with pride.
