BC SPCA Burnaby The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting vulnerable animals and mobilizing communities so animals and people thrive together.

Stray young adult female pit bull found Jan 1st on the 4500 block of Piper Avenue in Burnaby.

She had no collar or harness. She does have a microchip but it is not registered.

This intact male kitten was found in the evening of December 19th near the 2100 block of Gilmore Avenue in Burnaby. He is approximately 4 months old and has no ID.

He is currently being housed at the Vancouver SPCA while the Burnaby centre remains closed for repairs.

The most humane and effective way to tackle your rodent problems is prevention. 🐀
Why?

1️⃣ Makes your home less attractive to mice and rats
2️⃣ Breaks the cycle of temporary solutions

Rodents are seeking shelter, water, food, and a good hiding place.
For prevention to be the long-term solution you're looking for, you must rodent-proof your home AND maintain your property.
Here is how:

🏡 Remove debris
👩‍🌾 Maintain landscaping
🕵️‍♀️ Regular inspections and monitoring (Remember, mice can enter a home through holes the size of a dime!)
