The autumn glow reflected in the last of our tomatoes coming off the vines now is magical … and delicious. Last of them and Roma’s & Cherry tomatoes will be in our farm store Saturday.
Peaches & Cream corn is going to be ready too then-finally!!!

To say that our market gardens & fields have been a challenge this year is an understatement. Garlic is a washout- rotted in the field. Summer squash is taking a beating trying to adapt to the highs and lows of temperature, torrential downpours and drought. You just throw up your hands and count your blessings! I know we are not in this alone! Helping hands,smiles, stories, funny, funny stories as we were a family cleaning & sorting black currants at the kitchen table. Marigolds have hung in and the hughs, fragrance and flavor are a testament to what doesn’t kill ya will make you stronger. They just started blooming today! Best ever! The edible flowers are the survivors along with the lettuces so far. And the black currants we just harvested are phenomenal!
