Fun Fact: Tails & Trails offers pet-sitting to small animals such as hamsters, gerbils, and much more along the lines.

I have experience in small animals as I’ve owned them throughout years, including an ethically bred hamster (shown in the left photo) and an adopted one from a shelter. I highly took the time educating myself, therefore I’m glad to share that with others.

Here comes the snow! Keep an eye out for any toxins, such as rock salt or antifreeze.

Rock salt isn’t exactly toxic to your furbabies, but it may upset their stomach and irritate their paws.

Antifreeze tastes sweet but is also quite toxic for all animals, especially dogs. Stay vigilant for blue or green coloured substances on driveways, sidewalks and cars.

Wipe off their paws before they come inside to remove any potential salt or antifreeze residue that they could later lick off. 🐾
