K9Crusaders We are a registered non-profit CANADIAN based group working to support and facilitate animal rescue primarily within Ontario and Quebec.

As supporters of the humane treatment of animals, we want to see all adoptable animals find a loving and caring forever home. Our objective is to enter into fundraising activities that will enable us to provide responsible rescue to homeless animals which will include the provision of spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchipping as well as all necessary medical treatments and rehabilitation to ensu

re successful, lifelong adoptions. We will work collaboratively with both local and high kill shelters to try to rescue senior, special needs and death row animals first and foremost - to save as many lives as we can. We will also partner with other animal-based initiatives to strengthen and unify the rescue community and to increase resources for pet parents within our local communities and beyond.

Sweet Miss Maeve has some very BIG news to share! After making an incredible recovery from emergency surgery to repair a ruptured disk in her neck just last month, her foster family has realized something important… they’re simply too in love to let her go!

With Maeve’s full approval, they’ve officially swapped their “foster” title for “forever.”

We couldn’t be more thrilled for this beautiful family and wish them a lifetime of love, snuggles, and happily ever afters.

Say hello to Charlotte! This sweet little jellybean joined our rescue today after finding herself in a Quebec pound. At approximately 6 years old, Charlotte clearly endured a rough time—her pound experience was more than just a little stressful.

Thankfully, she’s now in the arms of a loving foster family, where she’s already begun to decompress. In fact, she felt safe enough to fall asleep in her foster dad’s arms on her very first day—cue the tears! 🥹

Charlotte will be thoroughly assessed by our medical team and will need to be spayed before she’s ready for adoption. Until then, she’ll receive nothing but love, comfort, and kindness to help her forget that scary chapter of her life.

We are thrilled to be welcoming these gorgeous babies into our care this weekend in collaboration with Dr. Michelle, who has been in Iqaluit this week donating her time and talents to Northern dogs in need.

Born in early February, this litter will grow to be 10”-16” tall and around 30 lbs when fully mature.

Temperament wise, they are described as loving, sweet, trainable, outgoing, and great in all situations. Their coats are border collie like - sleek, medium haired, with less under coat, and easy to clean.

Today we welcomed Pico, a young Chihuahua who was surrendered to a Quebec pound due to his family relocating. We were told he was shy and a little fearful and undersocialzed, but he has surprised everyone since landing in his foster home earlier today, by already initiating play with his new foster sibling and excitedly exploring his new space. He truly seems to be super friendly and comfortable already!

Pico will need to be neutered before he will be available for adoption, but stay tuned for updates on this handsome little love bug!! 💜

Mama Sugar and her baby Spice were part of our “Seven Souls” rescue mission late last year that brought 7 dogs into our care from an extreme hoarding situation, just days after Spice (the only puppy) was born. Lucky for these two they ended up in an amazing foster family who have decided to swap their Foster title for that of Forever! Congratulations to these two beautiful little fur souls, who are now named Lorelei and Baby.🥰

We could not be happier for this wonderful family and wish them many happy years ahead!! 💜
