We are a registered non-profit CANADIAN based group working to support and facilitate animal rescue primarily within Ontario and Quebec.

As supporters of the humane treatment of animals, we want to see all adoptable animals find a loving and caring forever home. Our objective is to enter into fundraising activities that will enable us to provide responsible rescue to homeless animals which will include the provision of spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchipping as well as all necessary medical treatments and rehabilitation to ensu

re successful, lifelong adoptions. We will work collaboratively with both local and high kill shelters to try to rescue senior, special needs and death row animals first and foremost - to save as many lives as we can. We will also partner with other animal-based initiatives to strengthen and unify the rescue community and to increase resources for pet parents within our local communities and beyond.

💜 Olive Update 💜

On behalf of our sweet Olive, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has donated and shared her story!

Thanks to the incredible outpouring of love and support for this former breeding dog who was discarded in her time of need, along with the success of our online auction, Olive will be having her hip surgery this week. We are beyond grateful that we can save her leg and give her the chance to live the life she deserves. Once she has recovered, her life will truly belong to her again.

Even more exciting news - Miss Olive is officially a foster-to-forever dog! It’s no surprise that she quickly stole the hearts of her foster family who have let us know already that Olive is home to stay, and now her happily ever after is truly just around the corner.

We cannot wait to see this special girl fully mobile and pain-free after all the suffering she has endured.

Olive also had her pre-surgery groom today with our friends at who took extra-special care of her while getting her cleaned up and looking absolutely fabulous!

It truly does take a village, and we are so thankful for ours. 💜

OLIVE UPDATE 💔🐾
This sweetheart of a dog has been through a lot this week.

It began yesterday morning when Olive suddenly became hesitant and distressed while trying to urinate. From experience, we know situations like this can quickly become life-threatening if there is a blockage, so we wasted no time getting her to a veterinarian. Thankfully, x-rays showed no bladder stones, but urinalysis revealed crystals that were likely causing her significant discomfort as she tried to pass them. Olive was immediately started on a special urinary diet, which she thankfully seems to be enjoying. Our hope is that the diet alone will help dissolve the crystals and prevent them from developing into bladder stones.

As part of her veterinary workup, Olive also had bloodwork completed, and we were relieved to learn that her results looked good overall. This is especially encouraging news as we prepare for the likelihood of surgery in the near future.

Today, Olive returned for her intake examination, which included x-rays of her dislocated hip. Unfortunately, the injury is somewhat complex, as the bone has shifted above the hip socket rather than sitting within it normally. We are currently awaiting a referral to an orthopaedic surgeon to better determine what will be required to save her leg.

As you can see from the x-ray, this is a full dislocation. While we do not know how this injury occurred, we do know she is uncomfortable, but her pain is being managed and she is still able to get around.

We do not yet have an estimate for the cost of her surgical care, but donations toward Olive’s medical expenses are still greatly appreciated. This little warrior princess still has a long road ahead, but we will be with her every step of the way.

RESCUE NEWS - Meet Olive 💔
It’s hard to believe that Olive once entered this world to become someone’s cherished little puppy, but somewhere along the way, she stopped being a pet and became a breeding machine. Again and again, her tiny body was used to produce puppies for sale. Her vocal cords were surgically severed so her barking would never inconvenience anyone. She was kept fearful and sheltered from the world, clinging desperately to humans because they were the only safety she knew. And now? Now that her body is broken and she needs medical care, she has been discarded. Olive is a miniature poodle weighing less than 11 lbs. She recently gave birth to puppies on April 1st, and when she was surrendered to a Quebec pound, her mammary glands were still swollen from motherhood. The reason for surrender? She had stopped putting weight on her back leg. This little girl was suffering. Olive has suffered a hip dislocation and has a severe patella luxation in her left leg. She struggles to walk and also arrived with a painful ear infection, severe dental disease, missing teeth, cataracts in both eyes, and years of neglect written all over her fragile little body.

And yet…Olive is calm, affectionate, and incredibly gentle. Despite everything humans have done to her - and failed to do for her - she still seeks comfort from people. She loves belly rubs and wants nothing more than to curl up beside someone on the couch while the television plays softly in the background.

The good news is that even after a lifetime of being used, neglected, and silenced… Olive still trusts.

She is now safe in our loving arms and settling into a wonderful foster home. Her pain is being managed while we work to address all of her medical and dental needs so she will never know a life of suffering again. From this moment forward, the rest of Olive’s life will be about Olive. 💜

💜RESCUE NEWS💜
Sweet Clover has officially arrived in K9C’s care, and we could not be happier to welcome this tiny girl to safety. 🐾

This delicate 5-year-old Chihuahua made the journey from a Quebec pound on Friday with the kind folks of and is now settling into a new chapter filled with kindness and love.

At just 4 kg, Clover is every bit the gentle little soul we were told she was. Calm, affectionate, and happiest curled up close to her people - and in fact within minutes of coming off transport she found comfort snuggling in the arms of one of our loving volunteers.🥰

Clover previously lived peacefully with cats and another dog, and she’s known for being polite, curious, and friendly with both people and animals alike. She especially loves cozy companionship, squeaky toys, squirrel watching, and being included as beloved member of a family. 💕

While she can be a little timid in new situations, she remains incredibly gentle and cooperative. After all the changes she’s experienced, we are so grateful she now has the chance to decompress and feel safe.

The next chapter in her story will include some much needed medical and dental care to get her feeling her very best once again.

Benjamin’s story was always meant to have a happy ending… and it came sooner than we could have imagined.🥹

Our sweet little scruff has already settled into his forever home, where a new best friend and a whole lot of love were waiting just for him!

From here on out, it’s all happy chapters in his story. This is what second chances are all about and we look forward to following his journey in the years to come…💜
