After missing for more than 8 months, Kitty is finally back where she belongs - home.

Earlier today, a stray cat (affectionately named “Loretta Lynn”) was brought into the shelter. As part of our intake process, we scanned for a microchip - and found one. That single scan changed everything.

With the help of the microchip registry, we tracked down her owner and learned her real name: Kitty. She had been missing since last spring. Thanks to her microchip and up-to-date contact information - we were able to reunite them the very same day.

Moments like this are why microchips matter. They give lost pets a voice when they can’t speak for themselves.

A quick reminder for pet owners:
😸 If your pet has a microchip, make sure your contact information is current - phone number, email, and address. If your pet isn’t microchipped yet, ask your vet about it at your next visit.

🔍 If you find a stray cat, bring them to your local shelter or veterinary clinic to be scanned. It’s quick, free, and could be the reason they find their way home.

💙 $5 FRIDAY — HELP KEEP US ON THE ROAD! 🚐🐾

It’s been a while since we’ve had to ask, but today we really need your help.

Our little cargo van — the one that gets dogs to vet appointments, transports to foster homes, and picks up dogs in need — is sadly at the end of its life. Our mechanic says repairs are no longer worth it, and we can’t safely keep using it.

The good news? We’ve found another van of the same type and have come to an agreement with the seller. 🙏
The tough part? We need to raise the funds to make it happen.

If everyone who sees this could give just $5, it would bring us so much closer to keeping our rescue moving forward and continuing to help dogs who depend on us.

Every single dollar truly matters and is so appreciated.
