As we get ready for our first show with our young mare Santorina, who we've raised since weaning, I'm reminded of how much needs to get done to get us here! The people who help me look after the horses day in day out, the slow consistency to all the work Zoe Chapman, Ehren Volk and I have done since last summer with Santorina, the trailer training and trips out with the girl squad - thanks to our paddock bestie Chiquita and Maia Smith for coming along to make a great experience with our first outings. And having great places, like Bonnie Brae to go to create great experiences for first outings and our friends at Hourigan Sport Horses and Megan McNeely to keep us company! When we stay it takes a village... it really does! Producing young horses takes time, patience and consistency - We are so proud of how well Santorina and Chiquita have handled things so far!

Safe Reliable, gelding or mare to work up the levels in dressage. Looking for a horse with confirmed flying changes. Client has no real interest in showing, but does enjoy clinics, hacking out thru the field and routinely goes trail riding.

Temperament is KEY - the horse must give their rider confidence and be able to tolerate a rider that gets anxious at times. Easy to trailer and be enjoyable to be around. Horse will be winning the lottery with a 5 star home with a very experienced horse owner, who is committed to a long term partnership and care plan for retirement.

Join us as we wrap up the Fairlawn Foundations Series with a dressage-focused ridden demonstration featuring Ehren Volk as we work with three horses.

What will we be looking at?

• How foundational training shapes balance and connection
• How different horses respond to the same principles
• What riders can watch for to improve their eye

Session focus:
• Transitions
• Alignment & balance
• Straightness & rhythm
• Building a correct, willing partner

A great opportunity to watch the training process live, see how these principles apply across different horses, and deepen your understanding of correct training.
