Today, I thought of you,
And I felt comforted
By your presence.
I could almost see
The light of your smile
Soothing my soul.
I could almost hear
The sound of your voice
Steady and full.
I could almost feel
Your hand reaching for mine
And holding tightly.
I could almost smell
The scent of pines,
Where we sat surrounded by the trees.
I could almost taste
The coffee as we
Talked so freely.
I could sense
Your love so fully
Through this moment So vividly.
And I know you’re with me.
I know somehow, you’re with me.
And I’ll find you in my heart,
In our memories.
